Clarksville, TN – On August 23rd, 2014 at 11:51pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to an Aggravated Assault. A nurse at the Gateway Medical Center’s ER reported that she had a patient with a gunshot wound.
The patient, Mr. Kevin Griffin II, had been shot one time in his left leg right above his knee. Mr. Griffin stated that after he had driven his vehicle away from a local gas station, the suspect who allegedly shot him followed him in his vehicle.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are still sorting through different accounts of the sequence of events which occurred at 135 Westfield Court, apartment 106, on January 31st, 2013, around 10:30pm.
Officers responded to several reports of shots fired at 135 Westfield Court. When officers arrived they found a chaotic scene with multiple victims/witnesses in and outside of apartment 106. Officers found one man inside of apartment 106 with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Clarksville, TN – On January 15th, 2013, around 8:30pm, Clarksville Police responded to the area of 31 Lincoln Drive after 911 received a call that a man had been shot in the foot and robbed. According to the caller, he was headed to the APSU campus, flagged down by two men, and was then robbed.
The story quickly unraveled and the true story was revealed after officers arrived on scene and found a 33 year old man inside of his truck who had sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot.
Clarksville Police investigating 16 Year Old’s Claim of being shot while walking down Old Ashland City Road
Clarksville, TN – On February 18th, 2012, around 9:40am, Police were called to Gateway Medical Center in reference to a 16 year old at the emergency room that had been shot.
According to the 16 year old male, after spending the night with some friends, he was walking on Old Ashland City Road and sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back. Clarksville, TN – On November 18th, 2011, Officers Jeff Danault, Mark Wilson, and Nathan Lee were presented with The Lifesaving Award at a ceremony held at Police Headquarters. The Lifesaving Award is given to officers whose actions saved or extended the life of another person.
The Lifesaving Award was presented to the officers for their actions on September 3rd, 2011 when they responded to a shots fired call at 801 Providence Boulevard and found a man that had been hit by gunfire. He was bleeding from both legs due to gunshot wounds; the left leg was bleeding severely.
Clarksville, TN - Police are investigating an alleged robbery which occurred last night in the area of Timber Court apartments at the corner of Dunbar Cave and Old Russellville Pike. On April 11th, around 9:53pm, officers were called to the area of Timber Court about a shooting in progress and a man possibly being shot in the leg.
A witness heard a gunshot and saw a man possibly being pushed out of a vehicle. The man who had been pushed from the vehicle fled on foot from the area. When Police arrived on the scene they were unable to locate a victim or suspect in the area. Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred in the early morning hours. Officers were called to the Gateway Medical Center around 3:00am this morning about a 24 year old black male that had sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital by a family member.

Clarksville, TN - On February 24th, 2011 Corey Demorris Gilbert was found guilty of First Degree Murder and Attempted Aggravated Robbery for a homicide which occurred, July 22nd, 2009 at a 1505 Madison Street hotel. The victim, George Lebrent Miller (DOB: 1/12/88) was found deceased inside of room #116, around 2:37pm, at the hotel. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
A second man, Dominick Shon Dre Hodges is incarcerated and awaiting trial for First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery in conjunction with the death of George Lebrent Miller.
Clarksville, TN – Samantha Marie Miller of 1488 Buchanon Drive has died from her gunshot wound she recieved during a domestic dispute. On December 25th, 2010, around 2:42am, officers responded to a Domestic in Progress at the residence. When officers arrived they found Timothy Andrew Putnam and Samantha Marie Miller inside of the home. Samantha Miller had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
A Homicide charge will be pursued through the court system.
Additionally, the children are now with family members.
Man Deceased at the Scene
Clarksville, TN – On October 27th, 2010, around 1:55am, officers responded to the area of Elder and Washington Street to a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found a black male, in his 30s, lying in the street and appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound.
He died from his injuries at the scene.
