Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – The next event in the Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) is the City Slicker Urban Orienteering event on April 27th.

Urban Orienteering will challenge you mentally as well as physically. You will be provided with a basic satellite image map that you must use to navigate throughout the urban (on-post) environment.

Fort Campbell Fitness Challenge kicks off with Health Fair, Fun Run/Walk

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Everyone is encouraged to set health and fitness goals and get moving at the first two events of the Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour, a health fair Friday and run/walk Saturday. ECFT events will continue at Fort Campbell and the surrounding communities through November.

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – The Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) is a program for 2013 conceived as a vision from Fort Campbell senior leadership to provide our military community, as well as Oak Grove,KY, Hopkinsville, KY, and Clarksville, TN, with opportunities for a fun and healthy active lifestyle.

Governor’s Square Mall will host their First Annual Community Health Fair this Saturday, September 15th

 

Governors Square MallClarksville, TN – Governor’s Square Mall will be hosting our first annual community health fair on Saturday, September 15th from 10:00am-3:00pm.

Exhibitors will be set up in Center Court and Dick’s Sporting Goods Court. The first 250 visitors at Center Court will receive a goody bag!

Week of the Eagles MWR and VFW Air Show sneak peek

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – On Friday afternoon, August 10th, local media were invited out to Campbell Army Air Field to watch the rehearsal for the Week of the Eagles MWR and VFW Air Show. Clarksville Online was on hand to bring you some photos of what’s in store for you Saturday, August 11th. From what we’ve seen, this is going to be one awesome show.

Gates will open for the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Air Show at 8:00am at the Campbell Army Air Field here. A Health and Wellness Fair will also begin at 9:00am near the air field.

101st Airborne Division run kicks off 2012 Week of the Eagles

 

Thousands come out to cheer on the Troops

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The “Screaming Eagles” of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) kicked off the 2012 Week of the Eagles and their 70th Anniversary at 6:30am, August 10th with a division run lead by Maj. Gen. James C. McConville, commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division.

Family and friends were along the street at the Division Headquarters cheering the soldiers along. As they came by, you could hear the cadences the soldiers were running to.

The total number of soldiers taking part in the run was estimated at just over 20,000. It was a sight to behold.

Fort Campbell’s Week of the Eagles MWR and VFW 2012 Air Show

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – While Week of the Eagles 2012 will kick-off with the Division Run, starting at 6:30am August 10th, Saturday, August 11th, is the day to be on post! Gates will open for the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Air Show at 8:00am at the Campbell Army Air Field here. A Health and Wellness Fair will also begin at 9:00am near the air field.

The air show will begin at 10:00am with opening ceremonies, posting of the colors, and a welcome from the Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, KY Maj. Gen. James C. McConville; followed by the National Anthem and a performance from the Liberty Jump Team.

Fort Campbell's Week of the EaglesFort Campbell, KY – The “Screaming Eagles” of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will host the 2012 Week of the Eagles, August 10th-17th, 2012, at Fort Campbell, KY, to reflect upon all that the division’s Soldiers have achieved since the unit was created with no history, but with a “Rendezvous with Destiny.”

“Week of the Eagles is a time for 101st Soldiers of the past and present to come together and reflect on the great legacy of the 101st Airborne Division,” said Maj. Gen. James C. McConville, commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

“This year is particularly significant because it coincides with the 70th anniversary of the division. We invite all Soldiers, families and friends to participate and experience Week of the Eagles 2012.”

Lee told troops during an address August 19th, 1942. Since that historic day at Camp Claiborne, LA, the Screaming Eagles have had many a rendezvous with destiny, and this year the storied division and the Fort Campbell community will mark the 70th anniversary of the unit’s inception during the 2012 Week of the Eagles: A history of valor.

“Week of the Eagles is a time for 101st soldiers of the past and present to come together and reflect on the great legacy of the 101st Airborne Division,” said Maj. Gen. James C.
