National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that patchy dense fog is possible for Clarksville-Montgomery County and across Middle Tennessee through the mid morning hours today, Saturday, May 21st.

As significant breaks in cloud coverage has occurred, patchy dense fog, fog that limits visibilities to less than or equal to one quarter of a mile has formed across locations approaching the Tennessee River valley early this morning.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville reports a deep moisture will surge into Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee ahead of an approaching trough tonight with showers breaking out after midnight.

On Friday, widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms expected may produce heavy rainfall and possibly 1 to 2 inches of rain.

Isolated minor flooding may occur later in the day.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County that is in effect this afternoon until 8:00pm tonight, Sunday, May 1st.

Thunderstorms are developing from Western Tennessee to Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana and these storms should increase some in coverage and intensity through the afternoon while spreading eastward.

Tennessee Department of Transportation David Younger Killed in the Line of Duty

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – David Younger, a well-respected milling and paving crew supervisor for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), was killed in the line of duty on Thursday, April 28th.

The milling crew was stopped on the shoulder of I-40 in Hickman County to change a flat tire when a tractor trailer struck one of the parked vehicles, killing Younger and injuring three other TDOT employees.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting April 16th, 2016

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday, April 16th, from 7:00am through 2:00pm, there will be a lane closure on I-24 eastbound at MM 8 (Exit 8 to SR 237) for bridge construction.

Motorists can expect some minor delays and should allow additional travel time, or seek an alternate route if all possible.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a wind advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County which is in effect until midnight tonight.

Gusty south winds to impact portions of the mid state through midnight. Strong southerly winds will pick up this afternoon and evening mainly across the I-65 corridor and surrounding areas.

South winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts around 35 mph look likely along with isolated locations seeing sustained winds up to 30 mph and gusts to 40 mph. Wind advisory in effect until midnight tonight.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a wind advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County which is in effect from 9:00am to 7:00pm CT Wednesday.

An approaching cold front will help generate gusty winds on Wednesday. By 9:00am, sustained winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph. These south to southwest winds will continue through the day with some gusts of 40 to 45 mph.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) says that as high pressure settles into the region and winds calm down Friday night, temperatures will fall into the middle 30’s across all of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee.

This means frost will once again be possible. Precautions to protect sensitive vegetation will likely be needed as we are into the early stages of planting season. Temperatures should warm enough for frost to dissipate by 8:00am Saturday morning.
