National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville Tennessee has issued a flash flood warning for Eastern Houston County, Cheatham County, Western Hickman County, Humphreys County, Dickson County, Northeastern Perry County, and Southern Montgomery County in Middle Tennessee until midnight CDT.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Hot and humid conditions expected this week for Clarksville Montgomery County

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service reports hot and humid weather is expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as Middle Tennessee this week. With high temperatures in the 90s, combined with ample moisture, afternoon heat index readings in the upper 90s to the lower 100s can be expected today and Monday.

Even higher heat index values between 105f to 108f will be possible on Tuesday and Wednesday with heat advisories likely needed for portions of the area.

National Weather Service reports Hot Weather to increase across Middle Tennessee

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – According to the National Weather Service (NWS), hot and humid weather that has developed over Middle Tennessee will increase as a high pressure system strengthens over the southeastern states early this week.

High temperatures will reach the lower 90s today and when combined with the humidity it will feel like the mid 90s. Temperatures are expected to be even warmer on Monday and Tuesday with actual temperatures getting into the low to mid 90s and heat index values possibly climbing into the upper 90s.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting June 11th, 2015

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOT

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday, June 13th from 7:00am-5:00pm and Sunday, June 14th from 7:00am to 12:00noon, there will be a lane closure on I-24 westbound at MM 8.0 for bridge construction, including installation of metal deck panels on SR 237. The alternate truck lane will also be closed at this location.

This is part of the bridge replacement project over Interstate 24 (Exit 8) on State Route 237.

TWRA reports Spring Turkey Harvest again passes 30,000 mark

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – Tennessee turkey hunters passed the 30,000 harvest mark for the 13th straight year during the spring season which concluded May 17th across the state.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports that the 2015 harvest stands at 31,429. Numbers continue to trickle into the Agency.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting June 4th, 2015

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday, June 6th or Sunday, June 7th, from 8:00am – 4:00pm, there will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 westbound, between MM 11.0 and MM 8.0, in order install bridge beams. The roadblocks will occur in approximately 20-minute intervals.

This is part of the bridge replacement project over Interstate 24 (Exit 8) on State Route 237.

National Weather Service issues Wind Advisory for Clarksville Montgomery County

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weater Service (NWS) reports gusty winds will continue across Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as Middle Tennessee through this evening. A low pressure system will move across the Ohio Valley Region with a trailing cold front crossing Middle Tennessee this evening.
