Employment Contracts in an At-Will Employment State

Clarksville, TN – I am always a little shocked at how little many business owners know about employment contracts, especially employers who have several, or even many, employees.

Many business owners simple assume that, because their business is located in an at-will employment state, a contract for employment is either infeasible or otherwise undesirable. Often, nothing could be further from the truth.

If your business is in an at-will employment state, that, in a nutshell, merely means that the default rule is that an employment relationship can be terminated any time for any reason, as long as you’re not discriminating against a member of a protected class. «Read the rest of this article»

Nashville, TN – Today AT&T announced it is hiring for more than 100 full-time and part-time retail sales consultant and sales support representative positions across Tennessee. These positions are available in AT&T’s company owned retail (COR) stores and are a result of the continued expansion of AT&T’s growing wireless segment which also includes the remodeling and expansion of AT&T’s stores.

Potential candidates will focus first on delivering a respectful and expedient customer service experience while selling AT&T products and services, handling billing and account inquiries, processing payments, reviewing account activity, discussing rate plans and features, as well as troubleshooting and answering simple technical questions about smartphones and mobile services. Tennessee Highway Patrol Accepting Applications for Troopers

Interested Applicatns Must Apply Online

Nashville, TN — The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) announced today it is aggressively seeking men and women who are interested in careers in law enforcement for a new Trooper Cadet Class slated to begin in the spring of 2011, if funds become available. Applications will only be accepted from Thursday, August 26th through Friday, September 17th, 2010.

In an effort to recruit qualified candidates, the Tennessee Department of Safety invites interested individuals to visit an Informational Session, Friday, September 10th, and Saturday, September 11th, at the THP Training Center, located at 283 Stewarts Ferry Pike in Nashville. To attend, interested individuals must register online at www.appointment.com/trooper  to schedule a two-hour appointment between 8:00am and 4:00pm.
