U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports DeWALT Recalls Drills Due to Shock Hazard

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that this recall involves the DeWALT DWD110 and DWD112 3/8-inch variable speed reversing drills. The drills are yellow with black accents and have a power cable connected at one end. Only drills with date codes 2017-37-FY through 2018-22-FY are affected.

If the drill is marked with an “X” after the date code it has already been inspected and is not affected. The model number is located on a label on the right side of the drill. The date code is etched into the body of the drill below the label. Consumers whose drill does not have a date code, or who cannot locate the date code should contact the company.

Recalled drill, the DWD110 and DWD112 drills are similar in appearance. Consumers should check the label to determine their specific drill.

Clarksville Police say Witness Observation leads to arrest of Vehicle Burglar Nathan Clay

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday, January 20th, 2018, around 10:45 am, Clarksville Police report a vehicle burglar took advantage of a man leaving a vehicle unlocked in the Home Depot parking lot, 2830 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

The burglar, later identified as Nathan Clay, parked beside, quickly entered the unlocked truck and took some items inside.

Little did Clay know, a witness saw what was going on and took the time to get a detailed vehicle and suspect description which she shared with police.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that Design Solutions International with Home Depot recalls Home Decorators Collection 3-Light and 4-Light Comotti Vanity Fixtures. The light fixture styles have 3 or 4 chrome-colored glass shades with clear acrylic ball strands that surround a halogen light. The wall plate is made of reflective stainless steel.

The light shades can detach and fall, posing laceration and burn hazards.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office holds 14th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness event

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who supported the 14Th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness event on Saturday. The event was dedicated to victims who have lost their lives from domestic violence.

Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson, Tennessee Representative Joe Pitts, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Montgomery County Commissioner Tommy Vallejos and City Councilman Richard Garret joined hundreds in an Awareness Walk around Veterans Plaza. Renee Wimberly organized the walk. Wimberly lost her daughter, Kendra Stanmore, to domestic violence.
