San Jose, CA – The Nashville Predators get out shot 39-19 in 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks Saturday night at the HP Pavilion. San Jose, who had been struggling with power-plays of late, scored both goals with the man advantage. This was the Sharks first win over the Predators this season.
The Predators have now lost two in a row having lost Wednesday night to the Anaheim Ducks 5-1. Nashville ranks last in goals with just 2.05 per game.

Nashville, TN – With their second visit to HP Pavilion in the last month, the Nashville Predators wrap up their 2012-13 season series against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.
In Nashville’s first visit here on February 2nd, in game No.6 of a franchise-record tying seven-game road trip, Sergei Kostitsyn notched his first goal of the season that night, while NHL sophomore Craig Smith recorded the only goal in the shootout in a 2-1 shootout victory.
With four shootouts in its first seven games, Nashville has gone to the post-overtime tiebreaker more than any other team in the League this season, posting a 1-3 record in those contests. Nashville Predators at Los Angeles Kings
Los Angeles, CA – Saturday night, the Nashville Predators and Los Angeles Kings close out their season series at Staples Center. The Predators are 22-23-(3)-3 all-time against the Kings, including a 13-9-(0)-3 mark in Tinseltown. Los Angeles is the only team the Preds have a winning record against on the road but a losing record against at home (9-14-(3)-3).
These teams met 11 days ago in Nashville as the Kings took home a 5-4 win. Patric Hornqvist scored two goals on the night, becoming the first Predators draftee to post at least 20 goals in three straight seasons for the team. Glendale, AZ – The Nashville Predators opened their four-game West Coast road trip with a wild 5-4 shootout win against the Phoenix Coyotes. Nashville never trailed in the game, owning leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 4-2, but saw Phoenix rally each time to tie the score and ultimately force overtime.
Both teams had several chances in the OT frame, but were unable to convert, sending the game to a shootout. Pekka Rinne denied all three Coyotes shooters, starting with Ray Whitney to open the shootout. Nashville went 2-0-2 against San Jose in 2010-11, tying its best record against the club in franchise history, the Predators also garnered six points against the Sharks in 2005-06 (2-0-2) and 2006-07 (3-1-0).
