Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions.
The week started off great and there were no DUIs from the 18th to the 23rd , then things went downhill. There were a total of 15 for the week.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department extends Denny Road Closure

Clarksville, TN – A sewer force main line installation project that began today on Denny Road has been extended through tomorrow afternoon.

Clarksville, TN – A Clarksville Gas and Water contractor will close Denny Road tomorrow morning at 8:00am to begin a sewer force main installation project. The road will be closed from 8:00am to 5:00pm between the Highway 41A Bypass and Birnam Wood Trace.
Traffic will be detoured to Highway 12 and East Old Ashland City Road for access to Denny Road and Birnam Wood Trace.
Sobriety Roadside Safety Checkpoints and Saturation Patrols to be conducted throughout Montgomery County

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, and the Clarksville Police Department will be conducting roadside safety checkpoints on May 25th, 2012 and May 26th, 2012 in Montgomery County. The locations of the checkpoints will be on U.S. 41-A and U.S. 79, as well as, State Routes 12, 13, 48, and 76.
