Hilltop Supermarket celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary this week

 

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s only family owned and operated grocery store, Hilltop Supermarket, is celebrating their 50th Anniversary. They are having bargains all week long to give thanks to the community that has supported them over the years.

In 1967, Wayne Hall opened the original Hilltop Supermarket, in a 4,000 square-feet building, with 13 employees across the street. Bursting at the seams, Hilltop moved to it’s current location into a brand new 12,000 square foot store and now had a staff of 30 employees.

Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to hold Total Solar Eclipse Viewings at Richellen Park and Woodlawn Park

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation invites the public to view the solar eclipse at Richellen Park and Woodlawn Park on Monday, August 21st, 2017. The parks will be open to the public at 10:00am for this historic event.

Concessions will be available from the Montgomery Central Little League and Woodlawn Little League. All proceeds from concessions sales will go to the Leagues.

Clarksville Travel Ball hosts Hilltop Supermarket’s End of Season Tournament this weekend at RichEllen Park

 

Clarksville Travel BallClarksville, TN – On July 29th and 30th, 2017, USSSA baseball will host the Hilltop Supermarket’s End of Season Tournament. Area teams will be playing on Saturday and Sunday at RichEllen Park.

Schedules are posted and updated the Clarksville Travel Ball FaceBook page for your convenience.

The public is invited to attend. Gate fees are $10.00 per day or $15.00 for the weekend for those over 12 years old. 12 and under get in free.

Hilltop Super Market to hold 2nd annual Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off and Car Show May 5th and 6th

 

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market will host the 2nd annual Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off and Car Show this Friday and Saturday, May 6th and 7th. This event is being held in honor of Dwayne Byard who past away two years ago.

Friday night is the car show with live music and the BBQ Cook Off will be on Saturday.

Hilltop Supermarket now accepting registrations for 2nd annual Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off

 

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – On May 5th and 6th 2017,  Hilltop Super Market will hold their 2nd annual Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook Off. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams per category as well as trophy prizes. There will also be a Grand Champion.

Team sign ups are going on now. The contest is limited to 20 teams. The categories are dessert, chicken, ribs, pork and beef brisket.

Montgomery Central Little League to hold registration for 2017 on February 11th, 18th and 25th

 

Montgomery Central Little LeagueCunningham, TN – The Montgomery Central Little League is holding registration for the 2016 season. Kids ages 4-15 years old can be registered for Baseball and Girls Softball.

Games will be held at the new RichEllen Park located at 1466 Highway 149.

Montgomery County Parks and Recreation earns state award for RichEllen Park

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department was recently awarded the Four Star Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation for RichEllen Park.

The award was presented during the annual Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association state conference, held earlier this week in Memphis, TN.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Fred’s Burglary suspect Ronald Dye

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s assistance in locating suspect Ronald Phillip Dye, wanted for burglary.

On October 19th, 2016, sometime between the hours of 12:00am and 7:00am, Dye forcibly entered Fred’s located at 390 Highway 149 in Palmyra.

Dye attempted to disable the alarm and camera system. He broke down the door to the office area and removed a safe. He loaded the safe into a 2002 Ford Windstar van driven by his wife Ashley Dye.

Ronald Dye is wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in connection to the burglary at Fred's on October 19th.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies began searching for Pride after he fled the scene of an accident Friday afternoon, October 21st, 2016 in the area of south of Highway 149 and west of Highway 48/13.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a suspect after he fled the scene of an accident.

Zaccariah Bradford Pride, 33, is possibly armed. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Deputies have set up a perimeter and are searching in the area of south of Highway 149 and west of Highway 48/13.
