Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department holds First Annual Cornhole Tournament at Hilltop Super Market

Montgomery County, TN – On Saturday, May 11th, the Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department held their First Annual Cornhole Tournament.
It began at 8:00am at Hilltop Super Market, located at 400 Highway 149, during Hilltop’s BBQ Cook-Off.

Palmyra Volunteer Fire to host Cornhole Tournament Saturday
Montgomery County, TN – The Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department will host its First Annual Cornhole Tournament during the barbeque competition at Hilltop Super Market, located at 400 Highway 149, on Saturday, May 11th.

Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market’s 4th annual BBQ Cook Off begins Friday, May 10th and continues Saturday, May 11th. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams per category as well as trophy prizes. There will also be a Grand Champion.
The Categories are ribs, chicken, pork and brisket.

Clarksville, TN – On May 10th and 11th 2013, Hilltop Super Market will hold their 4th annual BBQ Cook Off. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams per category as well as trophy prizes. There will also be a Grand Champion.
Team sign ups are going on now. The Categories are ribs, chicken, pork and brisket.
Last year’s winner for the Pork category was Double A’s; head chef Andy Alberd.

Hilltop Supermarket’s 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Supermarket held their 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 30th. The event kicked off at 11:00am with activities such as inflatables, face painting, cupcake decorating and more.
The Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department was selling hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. Homestead BBQ & More from Hopkinsville, KY came to the event and was selling their award winning barbeque. Central Pizza was also there giving away free slices.
Kids had a lot of fun at the 18th Annual Hilltop Supermarket Easter Egg Hunt Saturday.

Fire at Montgomery County EMS Station 23
Clarksville, TN – Wednesday morning, around 9:45am at the EMS Station 23 across the street from the Hilltop Market at 385 Highway 149, a member of the on duty EMS crew smelled smoke, and when checking for the source found the garage where their ambulance was parked engulfed in flames.
As one of the crew responded to the fire, the other called for support from area Fire Departments; units from Clarksville Fire Rescue, Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department, East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department, and the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department responded to help fight the flames which were under control within 20 minutes of the initial call being placed.
An ambulance was the source of the flames that destroyed EMS Station 23 on Highway 149 in South Montgomery County earlier today

Hilltop Super Market’s 3rd Annual BBQ Cook Off is this Weekend
Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market will hold their 3rd annual BBQ Cook Off May 11th and 12th, 2012. On Friday night, there will be a car show, live music, and food. Saturday, the BBQ Cook Off begins.
There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams as well as trophy prizes. The Categories this year include ribs, chicken, pork and brisket. The pork and brisket categories have been added this year.

2nd Annual BBQ Cookoff a huge success at Hilltop Supermarket
Clarksville, TN - Driving up Hwy 149 from Clarksville, one could smell the sweet aroma of something good cooking as you topped the hill. The 2nd Annual BBQ Cookoff was well underway at Hilltop Supermarket. Turning into the parking lot, tents, grills, barrels and other means of cooking barbecue came into view.
Some of the contestants arrived as early as 5:00am to setup and begin preparing their barbecue. This year’s contest consisted of two categories: Chicken and Ribs. There was plenty barbecue to sample, as most of the contestants were also selling what they cooked.
The BBQ Bunch won 1st place in the ribs category. (L to R) Mike Johnson, Melody Johnson, Wayne Hall and Janet Johnson.
