Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday, April 16th, from 7:00am through 2:00pm, there will be a lane closure on I-24 eastbound at MM 8 (Exit 8 to SR 237) for bridge construction.

Motorists can expect some minor delays and should allow additional travel time, or seek an alternate route if all possible.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Wind Advisory until Midnight

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a wind advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County which is in effect until midnight tonight.

Gusty south winds to impact portions of the mid state through midnight. Strong southerly winds will pick up this afternoon and evening mainly across the I-65 corridor and surrounding areas.

South winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts around 35 mph look likely along with isolated locations seeing sustained winds up to 30 mph and gusts to 40 mph. Wind advisory in effect until midnight tonight.

Heavy Rainfall tonight and Strong to Severe Storms tomorrow expected for Clarskville-Montgomery County

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will spread across Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee late tonight and tomorrow.

Some storms will likely produce locally heavy rainfall with rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches expected. Some localized flash flooding could occur in some areas, especially west of I-65 as early as tomorrow morning.

This flash flood threat will persist through tomorrow evening with additional showers and thunderstorms expected.

Light Snow possible for Clarksville-Montgomery County tonight

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports light snow accumulations are possible over Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of the mid state tonight and freezing temperatures will also arrive.

The atmosphere will remain chocked full of moisture tonight as an upper level disturbance swings southeastward, out of Kentucky, across the mid state. Temperatures tonight will start above the freezing mark.

However, following the passage of the weather disturbance late this evening and overnight, temperatures will fall below the freezing mark.

A light snowfall is possible for Clarksville-Montgomery County tonight.

TDOT announces section of I-24 East to Close this Weekend in Davidson County

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will temporarily close a section of Interstate 24 East between State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) and Interstate 65 in Davidson County.

The work is scheduled for Friday, February 19th, 9:00pm through Sunday, February 21st at 12:00pm.

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday February 27th, from 7:00am-3:00pm, I-24 Westbound will be closed at MM 8 (SR 237) for bridge construction. Traffic will be detoured using the SR 237 ramps. SR 237 (Rossview Road) will also be closed at this location.

Windy conditions expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County through the afternoon hours today

 

National Weather ServiceClarksville, TN – The National Weather Service reports that a surface pressure gradient will become better established across Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as Middle Tennessee as the day progresses Sunday, January 31st.

Breezy sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected with occasional gusts to 30 to 35 mph especially for locations in an area along and west of the I-65 corridor and along and north of the I-40 corridor.

Occasional gusts to around 40 mph or slightly higher may be possible.
