The city of Clarksville held their annual Independence Day Celebration yesterday evening.The event also honors our soldiers, both active duty and veterans and their contributions in securing our freedoms. There was food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. Clarksville Online was on hand to capture these images of the festivities.

The Fairgrounds Park boat ramp will be open to boaters attending the Independence Day Celebration this Friday at McGregor Park. Boaters may park their vehicles in the parking lot adjoined to the boat ramp and put their boats in the water beginning at 4p.m. All boaters must remove their vehicles and boats from the Fairgrounds promptly at midnight following the Independence Day event.
The courtesy boat dock at McGregor Park will remain closed to the public during the event.
The Independence Day Celebration begins at 6p.m. Friday, July 3. Fireworks begin at 9:30p.m.

McGregor Park will be closed to the public beginning Thursday, July 2nd at 8:00p.m. to begin preparing for Friday’s Independence Day Celebration. Any vehicles left in the park after this time will be towed at the owner’s expense. The park will reopen to the public Friday evening at 5:00p.m. for the City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration.
A few road closures will take place the day of the event and alternate routes will be provided. (See attached map.) The courtesy boat dock at McGregor Park will also be closed during the event.

Event guests are encouraged to park at the Austin Peay State University Dunn Center. The Clarksville Transit System will be providing free transportation to and from the event. The first bus leaves the Dunn Center for McGregor Park at 5:30p.m., and the last will leave McGregor Park promptly at 10:15p.m. following the fireworks display.
The third annual Independence Day Celebration takes place this Friday night beginning at 6:00p.m. and is open to the public free of charge.

The City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration will be a celebration for all ages, featuring music and fireworks for the Grand Finale! The event takes place July 3rd at McGregor Park• 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. A spectacular fireworks will cap off this holiday celebration.
The display on the river includes is choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack and will be broadcast on Q108, The Beaver 100.3 FM, Z 97.5 and Eagle 94.3 radio stations during the show. «Read the rest of this article»
