Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team makes its second trip this season down I-24 for a meet at Tennessee State.
The TSU Invitational starts 6:00pm, Friday, with the pole vault at the Dunn Center on the third floor before moving to the Gentry Center for the remainder of competition, beginning at 8:00am, Saturday.

Clarksville Police report Car Stolen after Keys were left in an Unlocked Vehicle

Clarksville Police wants to make the public aware of the dangers of leaving your keys in an unattended vehicle
Clarksville, TN – On January 25th, 2013, around 8:45am, a 20 year old woman parked her 2005 Nissan Altima at the gas pumps at the Shell Station, 600 Rossview Road. She left the keys inside of the vehicle (allegedly not running) and went into the Shell Station.
When she returned to her vehicle, it had been driven off by an unknown person. The vehicle was spotted by Sgt Scott Hendrickson on the 76 Connector shortly after the theft. He attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled onto I-24 eastbound at a high rate of speed.

Clarksville Police report multiple accidents on Interstate 24 due to icy road conditions

Clarksville, TN – On January 25th, 2013, A combination of hazardous road conditions and driver errors resulted in approximately 23 crashes, 13 with possible injuries, between 7:00am-10:00am.
The majority of the crashes happened on Interstate 24 between Exits 1 and 11.

Tennessee State Troopers locate missing Two-Year Old Cael Whitehead, Amber Alert Cancelled

Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Troopers located a missing two-year old male on Wednesday afternoon after a statewide Amber Alert was issued earlier in the morning. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the alert.
The juvenile, identified as Cael Whitehead, of Houston County, was recovered unharmed with Austin Whitehead, 23, of Covington, GA, on Interstate 24 eastbound at mile marker 153 in Marion County.

TDOT Reports I-40 West in Nashville to Close Next Weekend for Bridge Repair

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will close a short section of Interstate 40 Westbound at the I-40/I-24 split just east of downtown Nashville the first weekend in January in order to make repairs to a bridge damaged when it was struck by an oversized vehicle. Clarksville Police arrest Man for Impersonating a Police Officer

Police charged a man with Criminal Impersonation after a woman recently reported a traffic stop was made on her vehicle in October.
Clarksville, TN – A 25 year old woman, with her child in the car, didn’t think it was out of the ordinary when her car was being pulled over by a gold Chevrolet Impala after exiting Interstate 24 at exit 11 on the Hwy 76 Connector.
She could see the Impala following closely behind her in the rearview mirror with flashing white lights and heard a siren. The driver of the Impala motioned for the woman to pull to the side of the road.

Clarksville Police reports Two Incidents of Car Windows being Shattered along Interstate 24

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department wants to make the public aware that there have been two incidents of vehicles traveling on I-24 westbound between mile marker 9 and 10 when their driver side windows were shattered.
On November 9th, 2012, around 1:00pm, a man from out of state was driving westbound on I-24 in an F-250 pickup westbound and when his driver side window was shattered between mile marker 9 and 10.
