Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is issuing a statewide AMBER Alert for the Polk County Florida Sheriff’s Office for Rebecca Lewis, a white female, 4 years old, 3 feet tall, 30 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes, last seen at approximately 2:30am CST on October 10th, 2016 at the Daily’s Convenience Store located at Antioch Pike and Interstate 24, Antioch, Tennessee.
Rebecca was previously seen at Cove Lake State Park in Campbell County at approximately 11:00pm CST, on October 9th, 2016.
Clarksville, TN – Tennessee officials have given the City of Clarksville a green light on its request to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Edmondson Ferry Road and the U.S. Highway 41A Bypass.
The City has been studying the intersection for years but renewed its efforts in July after Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, City Street Department officials and Tennessee Department of Transportation leaders met with citizens from neighborhoods near the intersection who urged traffic signals be considered.

Clarksville, TN – A big, new Park & Ride lot near Exit 11 off Interstate 24 will open Monday to serve local residents, especially those who use the 94X Clarksville Express regional bus service to commute to and from Nashville, TN.
The new lot replaces the Rossview Road Park & Ride lot in the median of I-24 at Exit 8, which will close at the end of the day on Friday, October 7th.
City of Clarksville announces Improvements coming to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Bypass intersections
Clarksville, TN – Improvements are moving forward for several intersections on State Route 76/Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway/U.S. Highway 41A Bypass — the popular southernmost route connecting Interstate 24 at Exit 11 and downtown Clarksville — while study continues on another intersection along the route.
Clarksville, TN – City of Clarksville officials are taking steps to improve traffic flow around the Rossview schools campus while a more lasting solution – widening and improving Rossview Road – takes shape over the next 18 to 24 months.
Construction of the $800 million Hankook Tire facility on the north side of Interstate 24 and the related project to widen and rebuild the Exit 8 interchange to serve the plant have worsened school traffic problems.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation has received approval from the Federal Highway Administration to designate State Route 840 as Interstate 840. The change was requested to encourage more economic growth along the corridor and more traffic diversion around Middle Tennessee’s urban core.
The primary purpose of SR 840 when it was initiated in 1986 was to promote economic development by improving access to the many communities located along the route.
Clarksville, TN – According to the Clarksville Police Department, currently, only one lane of traffic is open eastbound near the 8.6 mile marker on I-24, due to a two – vehicle crash. There were no reported injuries.
CPD will provide updates as they become available.
Travelers are advised to avoid this area if at all possible.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that from now through August 15th, 2016, resurfacing work will result in lane closures on weekdays for State Route 48 in both directions in Montgomery County, between the Dickson-Montgomery County Line and the Hwy-48 and SR-13 split.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation says all roadwork has wrapped up on the State Route 237 widening and I-24 interchange modification project. The newly widened SR 237 is five lanes from I-24 to International Boulevard.
The roadway has dedicated turn lanes and traffic signals for vehicles entering and exiting the interstate or the proposed industrial development site of Hankook Tire.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Friday, June 17th, from 8:00pm-5:00am, there will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions from MM 7.5 to MM 8.5 near Rossview Road for installation of guardrail and paving operations.
This is part of the bridge replacement project over Interstate 24 (Exit 8) on State Route 237.
