Fox Women’s Football Champions schedules 2009 season try-outs

The Clarksville Fox Women’s Football Team will hold a final sign-up for the 2009 Fox football season on November 15 at 3 p.m. at the Northwest High School Cafeteria. Try-outs will take place on December 13 at 1 p.m. at the Northwest High School Football Field and gym. All athletes must 18 years of age by April 1, 2009.

The Fox took the IWFL Tier II Mid-South Championship in 2008. They are the youngest team ever to play in the Independent Women’s Football League. For more information, visit the Fox Football website or call 931-329-2976.

Clarksville Fox schedules try-outs

The Fox invites female athletes that will be 18 years old by April 1, 2009, or older to sign-up and tryout for the Clarksville Fox 2009 Women’s Full Contact Football Team and become part of one of the best known and highly respected teams in the nation.

The Fox in two years have become a Championship organization and hope to build on that success with the recruitment of new team members.

Rob “Pops” Brown, owner/general manager for the The Clarksville Fox Women’s Semi-Pro Football Team said:

“As you already know, the Fox finished up their season as the IWFL Tier Two Division Champions and the youngest women’s full contact football team to play for the national Championship in any of the top leagues in women’s football. We are very excited about that accomplishment and want to take the next step in 2009 and WIN the 2009 IWFL National Championship. In order to do this, the Fox is starting now with off-season conditioning and taking sign-ups for the team’s tryout for the 2009 season.”

Fundraising underway for Clarksville Fox IWFL Championship game

The Clarksville Fox are working hard to raise funds for their trip to Chicago for the upcoming battle for the IWFL Tier Two Champsionship game.

They recently defeated New England Intensity 32-0 in the IWFL Tier Two Conference Wildcard Game. The Fox had a great offensive game accompanied with a defense that was “Off the Chain” only allowing 12 total yards of offense by the Intensity WOW. Clarksville Fox moves to Championship Game

The Clarksville Fox, Clarksville’s women’s full contact semi-pro football team, will host a fundraising day of golf at Swan Lake Golf Course on Saturday, July 19.

The team defeated the New England Intensity 32-0 in the IWFL Tier Two Conference Wildcard Game.
