Austin Peay State University to host Spring AP Day in February

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville TN –Area high school students hoping to enter college will have an opportunity to win a $3,000 scholarship to APSU, when the university hosts it’s Spring 2013 AP Day, February 16.

Amazing Weather on Last Day of the 2012 Riverfest Celebration

 

2012 Riverfest - 25thClarksville, TN – As the final day of Riverfest 2012 opened rain showers were still falling over Clarksville, but they soon cleared out leaving simply marvelous weather for the rest of the day. It was cooler than it had been on the previous day which was nice, and the sky was a clear bright blue with fluffy white clouds.

The crowds flocked to McGregor Park to enjoy the days activities. First off was the Riverfest Regatta. Business, Community, and Civic organizations had spent the previous months getting their vessels and teams ready to compete.

RiverFest 2012Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville, Budweiser, and Agero along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 25th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 7th and 8th, 2012. This FREE, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.

The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.

The 2012 Rivers and Spires Festival Continues Today!

 

Rivers and Spires Festiveal 2012 - 10 yearsClarksville, TN – It’s hard to believe another year has passed and we are ready up for the 10th annual Rivers and Spires Festival, April 19th-21st. As usual there will be tons of free concerts, entertainment and activities. But, because it is our birthday, and we think a big one, the Festival has a few surprises up its sleeve, but you’ll have to come out and see!

If you’ve never been to the Rivers & Spires Festival or are new to town, put it on your calendar and get ready to have a great time. Lined with craft and food vendors, six music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths, Historic Downtown transforms each year as the festival goes into full swing. Music is a big part of the event, with at least two artists on one of the many stages at any given time. But it doesn’t stop at just music. APSU makes campus, public aware of road projects

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – As Austin Peay State University prepares for the start of the 2011-12 academic year, the campus community and the public should be aware of the various city and campus construction projects to plan alternate routes to and from campus.

Near APSU, the intersection of North Second and College streets is closed while the Tennessee Department of Transportation continues sewer repairs. This is scheduled to last six to eight weeks. If driving to campus from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, College Street can be accessed up to Fourth Street and Home Avenue.

APSU schedules college preview day

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – High school students interested in knowing more about attending Austin Peay State University are encouraged to visit campus during Spring 2011 AP Day, Saturday, February 26th. University faculty, staff and students will provide informational sessions and activities at this event.

Check-in is at noon in the Music/Mass Communication Building lobby. Light refreshments will be provided at check-in. In addition, during that time, guests will have opportunities to tour the campus and meet with professors and current APSU students. «Read the rest of this article»
