Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) open their 2014 preseason this week, welcoming the defending NFC North Champion Green Bay Packers (0-0) to LP Field (capacity 69,143). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Saturday, August 9th.
Fans are encouraged to participate in the LP PENCIL Box School Supply Drive at the game. LP PENCIL Box, a collaborative non-profit venture between PENCIL Foundation and LP Building Products, offers Nashville Metro teachers the opportunity to acquire school supplies for the city’s most in-need children.

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Titans record-setting, All-Pro running back, Chris Johnson and The Chris Johnson 28 Foundation partnered with The Playmakers Foundation for a special Thanksgiving turkey giveaway on Tuesday outside LP Field.
While this was the first year Johnson’s foundation has hosted this event in the Nashville area, the foundation previously hosted the “Gobble, Gobble” turkey giveaway in Orlando, FL, where Johnson still refers to as home. Tennessee Titans (8-7) vs. Houston Texans (10-5)
Nashville, TN – Entering the final week of the regular season, the Tennessee Titans (8-7) are still alive in the playoff race. They travel this week to face the AFC South Champion Houston Texans (10-5) at Reliant Stadium (capacity 71,054). Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST on New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1st.
In the Titans’ Week 7 loss to the Texans, they fell behind early and were never able to make up lost ground. The Texans scored 27 unanswered points before quarterback Matt Hasselbeck completed a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jared Cook for Tennessee’s only score.

Nashville, TN – With 3:01 left in the game, Matt Hasselbeck completes a 2-yard touchdown pass to Damian Williams to carry the Tennessee Titans past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-17 Sunday afternoon.
Chris Johnson carried the ball 23 times for a season-high 190 yards against the Buccaneers for an average of 8.3 yards per carry. It was the third-highest rushing yardage total in his four-year career, and the performance ranks 13th in franchise history. Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (2-1) conclude the preseason this week, traveling to New Orleans to play the Saints (2-1). Kickoff at the Louisiana Superdome is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Thursday, September 1st.
This week’s preseason finale is a preview of a regular season game between the same two clubs. On December 11th, the Saints make their first regular-season appearance at LP Field since 2003.

Nashville, TN – Tommie Campbell had the view that defensive backs have in their dreams.
The Titans rookie safety saw a wobbling pass and 90 yards of lush, open LP Field grass.
Seconds later, the seventh round draft pick and former airport janitor, brought thousands to their feet by taking the interception for a touchdown. Campbell had enough gas in his tank to punctuate the return by putting one hand on his helmet in a tribute to Deion Sanders before high-fiving fans in the front row.
“I guess the quarterback and receiver weren’t on the same page,” Campbell said. “I saw the ball, broke on the ball and caught the ball first because I have had trouble with that at practice. Nashville, TN – Rookie running back Jamie Harper could see extending playing time – and possibly even start – when the Titans take on the St. Louis Rams tonight at 7:00pm (CT).
With Chris Johnson continuing to hold out and backup Javon Ringer nursing a hip pointer injury, Harper, a fourth-round pick in April’s draft, may have the opportunity to showcase himself early and often.

Locker gets his first touchdown pass as a Pro
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans win their first preseason game, over the Minnesota Vikings at LP Field 14-3. The Titans passed for 194 yards and rushed for another 96 yards totaling 290 yards. The Vikings had 248 yards of offense on 98 yards rushing and 150 yards passing.
Matt Hasselbeck, who was signed as an unrestricted free agent from the Seattle Seahawks on July 29th, started at quarterback and played one series in his Titans debut. One of his highlights was a 20 yard completion deep left to Lavelle Hawkins.
