Brentwood, TN – For the second time in the last three years, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team has earned the Ohio Valley Conference Sportsmanship Award for the outdoor track and field season.
Voted on by the student-athletes and coaches of the respective sports, the team awards are bestowed upon the Conference squads deemed to have best exhibited the standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior as outlined by the OVC and NCAA.

49 APSU Student Athletes Receive Degrees

Clarksville, TN - A record 1,222 students were conferred degrees, Friday, as Austin Peay State University held its 84th Spring Commencement in the Dunn Center and 49 of those were Govs and Lady Govs student-athletes.
The morning commencement saw students earn degrees from the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Science and Mathematics and the School of Technology and Public Management will participate in commencement.

Charleston, IL – Senior Chantelle Grey won her second Ohio Valley Conference 800m title this year and Austin Peay recovered from its Friday stumbles with an impressive Saturday showing at the 2013 OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Illinois.

APSU Lady Govs Track and Field set to begin OVC Outdoor Championships

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team is set to travel to Charleston, IL, for this weekend’s Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Illinois.
The two-day meet begins 12:00pm, Friday, at O’Brien Field.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s athletic department handed out its individual/team honors and awards for the 2012-13 school year, at the Dunn Center April 29th, with a local product and a transfer taking home the events top award.

APSU Lady Govs Track and Field wins Battle of the Cumberland Track Meet

Clarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team won its Battle of the Cumberland tri-meet against Murray State and Tennessee Tech, Tuesday, at Governors Stadium.
The Lady Govs topped the charts at 94 team points. The Racers’ 65 points put them ahead of the Golden Eagles’ 36-point tally.

APSU Track and Field Team to compete in Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite

Clarksville, TN – Outdoor season gets underway for Austin Peay State University track and field team when the Lady Govs make the short trek down I-24 for the Vanderbilt Black and Gold, the bulk of which takes place beginning 10:00am, Saturday, at the Vanderbilt Track Complex.
The women’s shot put, hammer throw and triple jump begins 4:00pm, Friday.

Austin Peay State University’s Chantelle Grey wins 800m at OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships

Charleston, IL- Senior Chantelle Grey won the 800m run for Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team on the final day of the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Lantz Arena, lifting the Lady Govs after a disappointing first-day showing.
The Lady Govs 44 team points placed them eighth overall. Southeast Missouri’s women scored 101 points to win the women’s indoor title over runner-up Tennessee State (95 points) and host Eastern Illinois (88 points).
