The June 6th Jazz on the Lawn at the Beachaven Winery was unique. Perhaps it was the perfect weather, which resulted in the largest turnout of any Jazz on the Lawn to date. The band for the day was The Heard, middle Tennessee’s premier show band. The band consists of a four-piece rhythm section, a four-piece horn section, along with a female and male vocalist. They perform R&B, Motown, Soul, classic rock, pop hits and swing music.

Chamber’s Business After Hours at Wingate by Wyndham-Clarksville’s 11th anniversary celebration tantalizes with tropical wonders!
 The Wingate by Wyndham is celebrating their 11th anniversary in Clarksville
The Chamber of Commerce’s May Business After Hours Showcase on Thursday at the Wingate Hotel (251 Holiday Drive), proved to be a smash hit with guests and presenters alike. The Business After Hours events are only open to Chamber of Commerce members, and provide a great opportunity to network with other community and business leaders. Thursday’s celebration marked the Wingate’s 11th anniversary and the stage was amply set. Area restaurants and caterers were everywhere with tasty samples galore! Local winery is site for relaxation, communal camaraderie, musical inspiration, diverse mini-buffets and flowing fruits of the vine! May Bacchus be praised!
The local phenomenon known as ‘Jazz On The Lawn” rolls on, to great appreciation! Beachaven Winery plays hosts during the summer and early fall to a series of free music concerts on its back lawn, as it were. People of all stripes, shapes and divergent humanity find their way to the soft lilting sounds of music flowing from Dunlop Lane. They come with an immense array of cultural delicacies and favorites to share with friends, along with blankets, lawn chairs and an equally immense appetite to enjoy conversation, friendship and music. The Beachaven concerts on the lawn start at 6:30 pm and continue until 9:30 pm. Because seating is first come first serve, it pays to arrive around 5pm for the best parking and viewing spots. Both admission and parking are free. As a sign of your appreciation it is encouraged that you purchase a bottle of Beachaven wine to enjoy as you listen to the music. They offer the concerts as a way to promote the winery. Jazz on the lawn is a great way for a family to spend a summer evening!
