Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Scoring two goals in the first three minutes, September 16th at Hilda J. Richardson Athletic Field, Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team was never threaten in their District 10-AAA match versus Henry County High School in dispatching the Lady Patriots 8-0.

Fans hadn’t even settled into their seats when Clarksville High (10-0-3, 4-0-0 District 10-AAA) got onto the board with their first goal, as just 49 seconds into the match. Salera Jordan put in a rebound of a shot by Ella Baggett for the quick 1-0 lead.

Franklin High Lady Rebels defeat Clarksville High Lady Wildcats 2-1, Advance to State

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – The battle to advance to State between the Clarksville High Lady Wildcats ( 19-3-2) and the Franklin Lady Rebels (16-2-5) in sectional soccer play Saturday night at Hilda J. Richardson field came down to one kick … and Lady Rebel Liza Hardin made it.

In the 75th minute, the score was tied 1-1 and the Lady Rebels executed a corner kick. The kick was well placed in front of the Lady Wildcats goal, but the defenders were able to deflect it from the net. However, the Lady Wildcats failed to gain control of the ball deep in their own territory.

Clarksville High School Soccer wins Region 5-AAA title with historic win over Hendersonville

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsHendersonville, TN – For years good girls high school soccer teams from Clarksville had all suffered the same fate when traveling to Hendersonville High School to play the Commandos on their home field – a loss.

Well that all ended October 23rd in the final of the Region 5-AAA tournament, as the Clarksville High School Lady Wildcats thumped Hendersonville 8-2 to win its second consecutive region title.

Clarksville High Soccer School advances to Region 5-AAA Finals with 7-1 win over Beech

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team exploded for five second-half goals in its Region 5-AAA tournament semifinal match, October 21st at Hilda J. Richardson Field, versus Beech High School to pull away for a 7-1 victory.

With the win, Clarksville High (18-2-2) advances to the 5-AAA tournament finals, October 23rd, where they will face Hendersonville High School (16-5-0) — who defeated Rossview High School in the other semifinal, 2-0.

Clarksville High School Lady Wildcats roll to second straight District 10-AAA Soccer Title

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team scored four goals in each half, October 14th at Hilda J. Richardson Field, in picking up its second straight District 10-AAA title, with an 8-0 victory over Rossview High School.

With the win, the Lady Wildcats (17-2-2) will host a first-round Region 5-AAA tournament game on October 22nd against the runner up of District 9-AAA, while Rossview (9-5-3) will travel to the champion of District 9-AAA.

“We like playing at home,” Clarksville High coach Jeff Jordan said. “That’s something that we’re proud of and a championship is always wonderful.”

Clarksville High Soccer finishes regular season with 10-0 win over Springfield

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team sent its five seniors out in grand fashion, October 8th at Hilda J. Richardson Field on Senior Night, as the Lady Wildcats exploded for seven goals in a span of 13 minutes in the first half on its way to a 10-0 District 10-AAA victory over Springfield High School.

The 10 goals tied a season high for Clarksville High (14-2-2, 7-0-0 District 10-AAA), with the Lady Wildcats also scoring 10 goals against Northwest High School on September 3rd.

Clarksville High School Soccer defeats Hendersonville 3-1 behind Ella Baggett’s two goals

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team scored three second-half goals – including two by Ella Baggett – to defeat longtime Region 5-AAA foe Hendersonville High School, 3-1, September 12th at Hilda J. Richardson Field.

Both teams currently ranked in the top 10 in the state played to a 0-0 draw after the first 40 minutes of play, but Baggett – a junior – broke the deadlock in the 47th minute.

She took a deep pass from beyond midfield by sophomore Salera Jordan, beat her defender and then got the shot past the Commandos’ keeper Makensie Cotter for the 1-0 lead.

Clarksville High School Soccer has big first half in win over West Creek High School in District 10-AAA Opener

 

Clarksville High SchoolClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team used an unrelenting offensive attack in the first half, Tuesday, August 27th at Hilda J. Richardson Field, to build a 4-0 cushion on its way to a 6-0 victory over West Creek High School – in a District 10-AAA opener for both teams.

The Lady Wildcats (2-1-0; 1-0-0 District 10-AAA) seemed to have the ball on the West Creek side of midfield for most of the opening half in getting off 15 shots, including five on goal, while scoring four times in the first 40 minutes of play.
