Clarksville, TN – TheFestival is pleased to announce that they were the recipient of two Gold Awards at the Southeast Festivals and Events Association (SFEA) Conference this past week in Auburn, AL.
The Festival won Gold Awards for being the “Best Festival With A Budget Over $75,000” and for the “Best Creative Idea”. The 2012 Festival Media Kit was submitted for the creative award.

A seasoned runner, Hazelton had already participated in countless other races prior to the Go Commando Half Marathon on October 15th, 2011. Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 20th runners will take to the streets during the second annual Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k. A special segment of these athletes will be racing for a cause, to raise awareness of the struggles surrounding PTSD and combat stress.
The Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k powered bywill join the non-profit organization Not Alone in raising awareness of combat stress and PTSD and encourage runners to consider joining Team Not Alone as they prepare for the 2012 race.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce its recent partnership with GORUCK, an organization that allows everyday individuals a glimpse into the world of Special Operations training.

Clarksville, TN – Miss Tennessee USA pageant officials have announced that applications are being accepted from young women throughout the state who would like to compete in this year’s Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants.

Clarksville, TN – The final day of the 2012 Festival on Saturday opened with unseasonably cooler weather to the point of being really chilly. Warm coats, hats, and/or gloves were the order of the day. Turnout started out slow, and might have been a little bit depressed over all from previous years as a result, but the people who did come out had a really great time!

“The intention of the Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k will always be to give back to the community; this money emphasizes that mission in a big way,” Channel Lemon, one of the Race Directors, stated.
Clarksville, TN – Tickets for the 2012 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA pageant are on sale now through the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
