(R) Ted Crozier, US Army, with the inaugural SAFE Community Heroes Award to recognize Col. Crozier’s passionate work for Soldiers, veterans and family members.

The award was the Inaugural Community Heroes Award and will in years to come awarded by SAFE to honor those who work tirelessly for our military, veterans and their families.

USO and Tennessee Titans to host fundraiser for Military and Families

 

USONashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans are partnering with the USO to host a fund-raising event at LP Field on Friday, November 15th. The event is open to the public and is an opportunity for area residents to learn more about the services offered by the USO at Nashville International Airport and at Fort Campbell, KY. “Troops & Titans” is specifically a fund-raiser to support these services.

There will be special appearances by Tennessee Titans players and cheerleaders. A short program will also include Keni Thomas, a musician and decorated combat veteran of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment special operations unit.

As they crowded together, acoustic guitars rang throughout the facility. Equipped with a smile, their eyes sparkled: Music, laughter and ease were in the air.

Country music’s brightest song writers left the comforts of Nashville, Tennessee, to travel around the world for this enjoyable delivery.

House of Heroes is coming to Clarksville Tennessee on April 5th, 2012

 

House of HeroesColumbus, GA – Over the last 12 years, House of Heroes-Chattahoochee Valley Chapter, Inc (HOH-CVC) has been a vital component of the Columbus Georgia tri-community area repairing the homes of military veterans and public safety officers and/or their widows at no cost to them To date volunteers throughout the community have repaired and improved over 450 homes, honoring the recipient with a flag that has been flown over the United States Capitol.  They are bringing the program to Clarksville, TN for the first time on Thursday April 5th, 2012.

The gift of your time will have a significant impact on the lives of our forgotten heroes those who have served so honorably and sacrificially for our freedom and safety.  Over 100 million Americans have served our nation since the 1940s. Some of these great Americans have been wounded or disabled while others have reached an age where doing physical work around the house has become extremely difficult.   House of Heroes is a volunteer program that provides free home repairs for these veterans and their spouses as a way of saying “thank you” for their service to our country.

Sounds open 2011 Season on Thursday at Greer

 

Mayor Dean, Keni Thomas Highlight Opening Night Festivities

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds kick off their 2011 schedule at Greer Stadium this Thursday, April 7th with an eight-game homestand against the New Orleans Zephyrs and Oklahoma City RedHawks. The promotion-packed homestand will be highlighted by new family-friendly promotions and returning fan-favorites from 2010.
