Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans defense had something to prove after last week’s performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. And prove it they did, holding the vaulted Atlanta Falcons offense led by Matt Ryan to only field goals in the first half. In fact, the Titans were able to sack Ryan five times.
The Tennessee offense started slow on their first two possessions before Jake Locker but together a 5 play scoring drive capped by a 7 yard pass to Nate Washington in the back of the end zone. This got the Titans going and they never let off the gas going on to beat the Falcons 27-16.

On offense, Chris Johnson leads the running backs group once again. Now in his sixth NFL season, Johnson’s 6,888 rushing yards from 2008–2012 ranked second in the league and ranked sixth in NFL history for a player’s initial five campaigns.
Nashville, TN – On Wednesday, May 1st, the Tennessee Titans announced the release of wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins, safety Suaesi Tuimaunei and wide receiver Michael Calvin.
Hawkins at 5-foot-11 was acquired in the 2008 NFL Draft with a fourth round pick out of California. In 2012, he started once and played in seven games. He had five receptions for 62 yards. He was inactive for nine games. He had career highs in 2011 with 47 catches for 470 yards and a touchdown.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans set out Sunday to finish their season on a high note. They did just that. With 2:14 left in the game, Josh Scobee’s onside kick went out of bounds giving the Titans the ball on the Jacksonville 49 yard line. Tennessee finished running out the clock when Collin Mooney took the ball up the middle with .34 seconds left.

Nashville, TN - Tennessee Titans’ Jake Locker has seen a different test each game he’s started this season but will have increased familiarity with Jacksonville’s defense on Sunday.

Green Bay, WI – With 2:51 left in the game, the Tennessee Titans went 53 yards in 6 plays to get their only score of the day. The drive was capped off with a Jake Locker 2 yard pass to Kenny Britt for the touchdown.
