Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s volleyball team came within a whisker of dropping its first two games versus Northeast High School, October 7th in the quarterfinals of the District 10-AAA tournament, but rallied to earn a spit of those games on their way to a 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 25-13 victory.
Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s volleyball team almost saw a 2-0 lead disappear, Thursday, September 4th in its District 10-AAA matchup versus Northeast High School, but the Lady Hawks rallied to score eight of the final nine points in game four to come away with a 3-1 win be scores of 25-16, 25-19, 15-25 and 25-23.
After winning the first two games comfortably, the Lady Hawks (7-5, 4-2 District 10-AAA) saw the Lady Eagles come out quickly in the third game and score the first four points to never trail in the contest that they won by 10 points, 25-15.
Clarksville, TN – Kayla Bradley and Alicia Veltri both hit first inning grand slam home runs for Northeast High School, April 30th, as the Lady Eagles got out to a 9-0 lead in their District 10-AAA matchup versus Rossview High School and never looked back, as they defeated the Lady Hawks 13-3.
With the win, Northeast (21-8-1, 10-3 District 10-AAA) wrapped up the number-two seed for the upcoming district tournament and will host either Springfield High School or West Creek High School on May 2nd at 5:30pm.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s softball team has gotten used to beating opponents by utilizing the home run this season, but March 31st versus Northeast High School it was playing the small-ball game that got the job done, with the Lady Wildcats defeating the Lady Eagles in their District 10-AAA matchup, 3-0.
Despite having several opportunities to score runs earlier in the game, Clarksville High (16-7, 5-0 10-AAA) found itself in a scoreless tie with the Lady Eagles heading into the bottom of the sixth inning when Peyton Wilson drew a walk to start the inning.
Clarksville, TN – The past two seasons the Northeast High School girls basketball team has struggled to just win a game, much less string a couple of wins together.
But that seems to be a thing of the past, as the Lady Eagles ran their current win-streak to three, January 20th, with a 51-24 District 10-AAA victory over Springfield High School.
Northeast High Lady Eagles beat Clarksville High 42-34 ending six-year drought against Lady Wildcats
Clarksville, TN - Scoring 10 of the last 12 points of the night, January 17th at the William Workman Gymnasium, the Northeast Lady Eagles posted their first victory over Clarksville High in six years in a 42-34 final.
The District 10-AAA win by Northeast (6-11, 2-5 District 10-AAA) was just one day short of the six year anniversary of their last win over the Lady Wildcats – a 56-50 final coming on January 18th, 2008.
Clarksville, TN – Kenwood High School girls basketball looked like it had everything under control with 2:30 minutes left and up by nine, January 14th in its District 10-AAA contest versus Northeast High School, but they had to hold off the Lady Eagles at the end for a 54-50 victory.
The Lady Knights (7-9, 4-2 District 10-AAA) led 46-37, with 2:23 left in the game, following one of two free throws by Malia Umrani.
But Northeast (5-11, 1-5 District 10-AAA) hit four straight free throws — in a span of just two seconds off the clock – to make it a five-point game, 46-41, with 2:03 left.
Clarksville, TN – The Rossview Lady Hawks continued to prove they are the team to beat in District 10-AAA with their third conference win in a row, this time at home Friday night against the Northeast Lady Eagles, 73-44.
“I thought our intensity and our energy was good. I though our length bothered them some. I thought our size was a big factor,“ Lady Hawks head coach Justin Wood said. “We had several second chance points in the first quarter especially. We did a good job of disrupting what they were trying to do offensively.”
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team came into its District 10-AAA opener against Northeast High December 3rd still looking for its first win of season, but the Lady Wildcats held the Lady Eagles to single-figure scoring in three of the four quarters in picking up a 55-38 victory.
The victory is the 14th straight by Clarksville High (1-5, 1-0 District 10-AAA) over Northeast dating back to the 2008-09 season.
Clarksville, TN – Getting out to a 17-point halftime lead, the Northeast High School Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the young season, November 14th at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, with a 54-37 Hall of Fame Game victory over Montgomery Central High School.
Northeast (1-1) would get out of the gates quickly, jumping out to a 9-0 lead over the game’s first 4:48, before Montgomery Central’s MaKayla Flake ended the run with a basket at the 2:31 mark.
