Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team came into its District 10-AAA opener against Northeast High December 3rd still looking for its first win of season, but the Lady Wildcats held the Lady Eagles to single-figure scoring in three of the four quarters in picking up a 55-38 victory.
The victory is the 14th straight by Clarksville High (1-5, 1-0 District 10-AAA) over Northeast dating back to the 2008-09 season.
Clarksville, TN – Getting out to a 17-point halftime lead, the Northeast High School Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the young season, November 14th at the Thomas-Young Gymnasium, with a 54-37 Hall of Fame Game victory over Montgomery Central High School.
Northeast (1-1) would get out of the gates quickly, jumping out to a 9-0 lead over the game’s first 4:48, before Montgomery Central’s MaKayla Flake ended the run with a basket at the 2:31 mark.
Northeast Lady Eagles defeat Kenwood Lady Knights 25-18 in First Game of 2013 CMCSS Basketball Jamboree
Clarksville, TN – The 2013 Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Basketball Jamboree kicked off with the Northeast Lady Eagles against the Kenwood Lady Knights Thursday afternoon at the APSU Dunn Center.
The Lady Eagles got the first win of the night, 25-18 over the Lady Knights.
Rossview High School Lady Hawks Volleyball defeat Northeast High School Lady Eagles 3-0, advance to Championship
Clarksville, TN – The Rossview Lady Hawks continued their home court dominance in District 10-AAA semifinal action. They defeated the Northeast Eagles 3-0 (25-2, 25-5, 25-8) to advance to the Championship game.
The Lady Hawks offense overwhelmed the Lady Eagles. They generated 20 kills and 20 aces in the match. Janie White led her team with 21 kills and 3 blocks. Regan Comperry generated 5 kills, 14 aces and made 14 assists.
Rossview High School Volleyball beats Kenwood High School for 20th win of the season, remains undefeated in 10-AAA
Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s volleyball team picked up its 20th win of the season, September 24th, with a 3-0 victory over Kenwood High School, by scores of 25-7, 25-10, 25-5.
The victory also keeps the Lady Hawks (20-2) undefeated in District 10-AAA play, moving them to 12-0.
Seven different Rossview players recorded at least three kills in the match, led by Sydney Spoonamore’s six kills.
Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School girls golf team and Clarksville High School’s boys team took home their respective District 10-AAA tournament titles, September 23rd at Swan Lake Golf Course, with the Lady Hawks outlasting Clarksville High in a playoff – while CHS boys won by 32 shots.
There was little surprise that the Lady Hawks and Lady Wildcats finished in a tie, with team scores of 156, as both squads have been going back-and-fourth against each other in close matches all year long.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team wrapped up its opening weekend of fall play, September 22nd at Cheryl Holt Field, by pounding out 26 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Dyersburg State Community College, by finals of 11-0 and 10-2.
The wins improve the Lady Govs to 3-0 so far this fall, having also picked up a 7-4 win against Rend Lake (IL) Community College September 20th.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High’s girls soccer team scored three goals in a span of seven minutes in the second half, September 19th at Hilda J. Richardson Field, to pull away from Rossview High School for a 5-0 District 10-AAA victory.
Leading 2-0 on two first half goals by junior Ella Baggett, Clarksville High (8-2-0, 4-0-0 District 10-AAA) took any chance of a comeback by the Lady Hawks off the board with three quick goals in the 58th, 63rd and 65th minutes to go up 5-0.
Clarksville, TN – Northeast High School’s volleyball team saw District 10-AAA rival Kenwood High jump out to an early 1-0 lead, in its match September 10th, but rallied to take the next three games to defeat the Lady Knights 23-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-14.
In fact after winning the first game, Northeast saw the Lady Knights race out to an 11-4 lead in Game 2, with Kenwood being on the verge of putting a strangle hold on the match in the Lady Eagles own gym.
Clarksville, TN – West Creek High School’s girls soccer team converted a free kick into a goal midway through the first half of their District 10-AAA match, September 3rd versus Northeast High School and its defense did the rest in picking up its first win in school history over the Lady Eagles, 1-0.
