APSU Women's GolfClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison announced Tuesday, May 14th, that APSU Women’s golf head coach Amy McCollum has resigned. McCollum was the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference co-Coach of the Year.

APSU’s Doug Molnar will not return as head coach of Track and Field, Cross Country

 

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison announced Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 that Doug Molnar will not return as the APSU’s head track and field and cross country coach for the 2019-20 season.  Molnar’s contract will not be renewed. Molnar has been with the programs since 2005.

“I would like to thank Doug for his 14 years of leadership and commitment to Austin Peay Athletics,” Harrison said. “The Austin Peay track and cross country programs have taken a positive step during his tenure and is in a better position in the Ohio Valley Conference than he found it.

APSU Softball’s Morgan Rackel selected for Google Cloud Academic All-District ® Team

 

APSU SoftballGreenwood, IN –  The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball program has one of its student-athletes named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District ® Team for the first time since 2003.

Senior pitcher Morgan Rackel was one of 11 student-athletes recognized in District 3, which includes Division I programs in the states of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

APSU Track and Field comes in Third at OVC Outdoor Championships

 

APSU Women's Track and FieldCape Girardeau, MO – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) track and field earned a top-three finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships for the first time since 2015, placing third in the 2019 event thanks to some outstanding final-day performances.

APSU Softballs Bailey Shorter named to All-OVC Tournament Team

APSU Soccer inks two more international players to 2019 recruiting class

 

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TNNaomi Kolarova, Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s soccer head coach  has signed two more international players to the 2019 recruiting class.

The two signees raise Kolarova’s incoming class to 12 players that now includes eight true freshman and four transfers, five of which hail from outside the United States.

APSU Track and Field’s Maya Perry-Grimes earns Gold, Govs busy at OVC Outdoor Championships

 

APSU Women's Track and FieldCape Girardeau, MO – Austin Peay State University (APSU) track and field athletes laid it out there during Friday’s second day of competition at the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Track and Field Championships at Abe Stuber Track and Field Complex, leaving the Govs on solid footing heading into the final day.

Day Two featured another trip to the podium, multiple high-level qualification marks and the conclusion of the heptathlon, where a Governor held her own and then some.

APSU Softball’s season ends with 4-3 loss to Eastern Kentucky at OVC Tournament

 

APSU SoftballOxford, AL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball team fell Friday in Day three of the Ohio Valley Conference Championship to Eastern Kentucky, 4-3. The Govs put on a late rally, but came up short. The loss also was the end of the season for APSU.
