Junior Kristen Stainback is averaging 17.0 points per game in OVC play (10th best in OVC) and will lead APSU into Saturday's contest at EIU.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUCharlston, IL – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team saw a two-set lead dissipate before it fell in five sets (25-23, 28-26, 22-25, 16-25, 11-15) to Eastern Illinois, Friday night, in Ohio Valley Conference at Lantz Arena.

Austin Peay (8-15, 5-2 OVC) has struggled on the road this season with just one win in seven previous road outings.

Austin Peay State University’s Chantelle Grey wins 800m at OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships

 

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsCharleston, IL- Senior Chantelle Grey won the 800m run for Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team on the final day of the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Lantz Arena, lifting the Lady Govs after a disappointing first-day showing.

The Lady Govs 44 team points placed them eighth overall. Southeast Missouri’s women scored 101 points to win the women’s indoor title over runner-up Tennessee State (95 points) and host Eastern Illinois (88 points).

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team heads north for the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Illinois, at Lantz Arena, beginning at 1:30, Friday.

The two-day event marks the 28th year OVC squads have competed for an indoor championship.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball defeat Eastern Illinois Panters 71-64 to get first road win of the season

 

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball

Austin Peay State University GovernorsCharleston, IL – Anthony Campbell scored 24 points, including four second-half three pointers, and Chris Horton recorded a double-double as Austin Peay State University held off Eastern Illinois, 71-64, Thursday night in Ohio Valley Conference basketball action in Lantz Arena.

The victory snapped an eight-game losing streak and put the Govs at 6-20 overall and 2-10 in the OVC. It also was the Governors first road win this season.
