Austin Peay State University Softball sees Tournament run end on season’s final day at Murray State
Murray, KY – Austin Peay State University’s softball team went into the final day of the regular season May 5th knowing it needed two wins to punch its ticket into the Ohio Valley Conference post-season tournament for the first time since 2007.

APSU Lady Govs Softball closes season with trip to Murray State

Clarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University’s softball team closes out its 2013 regular season with a three-game Ohio Valley Conference weekend series at Murray State.
Weather permitting, the series will start for the Lady Govs (18-24, 9-15 OVC) with a noon, Saturday doubleheader and conclude with a 1:00pm, Sunday single game.

APSU Lady Govs Softball wins 4-1 against Southeast Missouri to take OVC series
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning, to break a 1-1 deadlock with Southeast Missouri and come away with a sweep of their Ohio Valley Conference series, winning the finale 4-1.

Austin Peay State University Athlete of the Week John Storie

Clarksville, TN - Senior John Storie, of the Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Storie was the story for the Govs at the OVC Tennis Championships. The Johnson City, Tennessee, native won both his singles matches and both doubles matches with Aleksas Tverijonas to help Austin Peay clinch its first OVC Tennis title since 1974.

Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team scored four times in their final at bat in Game 1 and three times in Game 2, April 20th at E.S. Rose Park, as the Lady Govs swept Belmont in an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader, 9-5 and 3-1.
