Martin, TN — Austin Peay State University’s softball team suffered yet another close Ohio Valley Conference loss, Saturday afternoon at Bettye Giles Field, as Tennessee Martin scored three late runs to come away with a 5-2 victory.

Austin Peay Governors Tennis’ Sean Bailey earns Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete award
Brentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University senior men’s tennis player Sean Bailey has earned one of six prestigious Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Awards for 2011-12, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Bailey is one of six selected recipients – three men and three women – determined by a vote of OVC Faculty Athletics Representatives.

Mills’ grand slam grounds Skyhawks
APSU Women’s Softball
Clarksville, TN - Junior Amy Mills’ grand-slam highlighted a five-run fifth inning for Austin Peay, as the Lady Govs defeated the Tennessee Martin Skyhawks, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at Cheryl Holt Field in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup.
Austin Peay (10-30, 5-13 OVC) junior Ashley Bolda was hit by a pitch to open up the inning, and move to second on a perfect bunt down the first-base line by senior Tiffany Smith.
