Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s 331 student-athletes posted a 2.944 grade-point average during the recently completed Fall 2013 semester, the athletics department announced Tuesday.
The 2.944 cumulative GPA accumulated by the department’s student-athletes was the fourth-best mark in program history. It also is the third consecutive semester the group posted a 2.90 GPA or better.

Brentwood, TN — Austin Peay State University saw 92 student-athletes recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference as part of its annual academic achievement awards, July 25th.
The OVC annually recognizes those student-athletes who excel in the classroom. The league’s Medal of Honor recognizes those student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average in their conference-sponsored sport.
Clarksville, TN - A record 1,222 students were conferred degrees, Friday, as Austin Peay State University held its 84th Spring Commencement in the Dunn Center and 49 of those were Govs and Lady Govs student-athletes.
The morning commencement saw students earn degrees from the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Science and Mathematics and the School of Technology and Public Management will participate in commencement.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s women’s basketball team rallied from six-points down in the second half to force overtime in its Ohio Valley Conference contest versus Belmont, Wednesday night at the Dunn Center, but the Bruins outscored the Lady Govs 17-4 in the extra five minutes of play to come away with a 71-58 victory.
Clarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University students and fans are invited to take advantage of multiple promotions at the Govs and Lady Govs final home basketball games, to include free t-shirts, free food for students and discounted tickets for APSU alumni.
When the Lady Govs host Belmont, 7:00pm, Wednesday, the first 300 Austin Peay students can take part in free food available on the Dunn Center second floor. It also is the final night of the Greek Challenge with the grand prize of $500.00 going to the Greek Organization with the highest percentage in attendance. Sigma Phi Epsilon has captured the single-game prize at the each of the first three Greek Challenge nights.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team closes out the 2012-13 schedule with a two-game set at the Dunn Center beginning against the Belmont Bruins, 7:00pm (CT), Wednesday. This will be the first meeting between the two schools as Ohio Valley Conference opponents after Belmont joined the OVC last summer.

Richmond, KY – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team closes out the road portion of the 2012-13 schedule at McBrayer Arena, Saturday, when the Lady Govs face OVC East Division-leading Eastern Kentucky in a 3:00pm (CT) tip-off.
The Lady Colonels own a 25-8 mark all-time against Austin Peay in their home gym, although the Lady Govs won the last battle in Richmond, 66-63, January 2nd, 2012.
