Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to hold Lifeguarding Course

 

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Lifeguarding Course for participants seeking the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.

To enroll in this course, participants must be at least 15 years of age and able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes without the use of arms or hands and swim 20 yards and retrieve a ten-pound weight from 12 feet of water. «Read the rest of this article»

Gardner Indoor Pool announces Fall Swimming Lesson Schedule

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Gardner Indoor Swimming Pool is happy to announce their fall line-up for swimming classes.  They’ll be offering adult, child and parent/child classes.

Level 1 and Level 2 classes will be given on Tuesday and Thursday, running from September 6th through September 29th. Level 3 and Adult classes will be given on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, running from September 12th through September 28th. «Read the rest of this article»

Parks and Rec revs up for summer fun

 

The city Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for summer.

Pool passes go on sale Monday. The pricing structure for pool passes has changed this season. Pool passes are now priced based on the number of people you have on your pass: 1 person-$60; 2 people-$100; 3 people-$110; 4 people-$120; 5 people-$130, and 6 people-$140. If you have more than 6 people, you must purchase an additional pass. A non-resident fee of 10% will be added to the season passes for those living outside the Clarksville city limits. Utility bills must be provided as proof of residence. Non-residents cannot be added to a city resident’s pool pass. Daily Admission to the pools is $5 per person before 3 pm and $3 per person after 3 pm.

Swim lessons are also offered at an additional charge of $15 per person with a pool pass purchase. Session One begins June 16 and ends June 27. Session Two begins July 7 and ends July 18. If you prefer a smaller class, semi-private lessons are offered for $25 per person with a pool pass purchase. Classes are limited to 5 participants and will be offered Monday-Thursday at 8 a.m. at Smith Pool. «Read the rest of this article»
