Lighting up the Cumberland brought out the crowd to Cumberland City, TN
Cumberland City, TN – On Saturday, Cumberland City held a their annual Lighting Up the Cumberland event which serves as the official 4th of July celebration for Stewart and Houston Counties. Lighting up the Cumberland draws 10,000 to 15,000 people to the small Stewart County town each year. The event has a festival feel with arts and craft vendors and food merchants lining both of the main roads through this small Middle Tennessee city.

A visit to Lighting up the Cumberland at Cumberland City
Cumberland City, TN - Last night, Cumberland City held a their annual Lighting Up the Cumberland event which serves as the official 4th of July celebration for Stewart and Houston Counties.

Cumberland City’s “Lighting Up the Cumberland”
Cumberland City, TN – For some good small town fun, come out to Cumberland City’s Fourth of July Celebration. “Lighting up the Cumberland” is Saturday, July 2nd. The festivities start at 10:00am with the opening ceremonies, a mini-parade, and then the Lighting up the Cumberland parade.
Through out the day, there will be arts and crafts, a Civil War reenactment camp and food vendors. There is even a tractor and antique engine show. Around noon, the Motorcycle and Car Show judging will begin. Live music starts at noon and continues until 9:00pm.
"Lighting up the Cumberland" fireworks show lights up the sky over the Cumberland River during last year's Independence Day Celebration.
