Nashville, TN – Taylor Green blasted a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Nashville Sounds a 4-3 win on Thursday night at Greer Stadium in the finale of a four-game set.
On the second pitch from Joe Ortiz (0-1), Green’s unloaded his second homer of the season and first since re-joining the Sounds from the Milwaukee Brewers.
The last-at-bat victory was the Nashville’s 13th of the season and gave the club a four-game series split with the Round Rock Express.
Corey Patterson Homers, Sean Halton Drives In Two For Nashville In Losing Effort
Nashville, TN – Thedropped their second straight game to the Round Rock Express, falling 8-5 on Wednesday evening at Greer Stadium.
With the defeat, the Sounds (42-55) suffered their first consecutive losses since late June.
All-Star outfielder Joey Butler paced the Express’ offensive attack with a 5-for-5 night that included an RBI and three runs scored. It marked the first five-hit effort by an opponent against Nashville this season.

The Express scored two runs in the ninth to force the game to extras and later won the game thanks to three straight hits from Joey Butler, Tommy Mendonca, and Luis Hernandez off Amaury Rivas (4-6).
Andy Gonzalez Homers To Provide Lone Offense For Nashville In Defeat
Round Rock, TX – The Round Rock Express evened their series with theby posting a 4-2 victory on Thursday evening at The Dell Diamond.
Third baseman Andy Gonzalez belted a two-run homer to account for Nashville’s lone runs on the night, while shortstop Jeff Bianchi went a team-best 2-for-4, his fifth multiple-hit effort in his last eight contests.
The loss dropped Nashville (32-49) to just 2-17 in games decided by two runs this season.
Dayton Buller Homers Twice for the Sounds
Round Rock, TX – Catcher Dayton Buller homered twice to power theto a 4-0 shutout victory over the Round Rock Express in the opener of a three-game series on Wednesday night at the Dell Diamond.
Four pitchers combined for Nashville’s PCL co-leading seventh shutout of the season, which also snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Express at The Dell Diamond.
Splits Four-Game Series With Round Rock Express
Nashville, TN – The Round Rock Express plated three runs in the top of the tenth inning to record an 8-5 victory over the Nashville Sounds in a Memorial Day matinee at Greer Stadium.
With the defeat, Nashville (20-30) missed a chance to record its third winning home series in the last four sets at Greer as the teams split their four-game holiday weekend series. The game was the Sounds’ seventh extra-inning contest of the year (4-3), which ties for the most in the PCL.
