Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church donates van to Leap Organization

 

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – The Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church donated a 15 passenger van to the Leap Organization to assist with transporting youth to various youth development program activities. On December 8th, 2013, members of the Leap Organization visited the church to express its sincere appreciation.

“I would like to thank Pastor Livingston, Deacon Rowland, and the members of Walnut Grove for their generous donation. Leap has not only put the van to good use in transporting youth, but also using it to transport the homeless on Thanksgiving day to be fed by Manna Cafe,” said Leap Executive Director Richard Reason Garrett before the congregation.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Govs Give Back helps 300-plus families over the Holidays

APSU’s “Govs Give Back” partners with Manna Cafe on Saturday

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN -  Manna Café Ministries, in partnership with Austin Peay FCA will conduct “Govs Give Back”, a Mobile Pantry, on Saturday, December 7th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Burt Elementary School, located at 110 Bailey Street. At this event Manna Café will be giving away food to anyone in the community needing assistance with groceries.

Celebrate Christmas with the City of Clarksville by visiting Christmas on the Cumberland

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville kicked off Christmas on the Cumberland, a Holiday Tradition unique to Clarksville-Montgomery County.  The display lights up McGregor Park in historic Downtown Clarksville, and features over one million lights. New  for this year includes trees wrapped in brilliant blue lights for an eye catching sight.

Christmas on the Cumberland will be open nightly from 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sunday through Thursday and 5:00pm-11:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays through January 4th, 2014. Admission to the event is free.
