APSU Golf signs international prospect

Clarksville, TN – Coming off the best season in school history, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team has added a top international prospect for the 2013-14 season.
Erik Hedberg Bertrand, a Barcelona, Spain native who had 15 local championships in addition to Top 10 finishes in a pair of prestigious international events over the last two-plus seasons, has signed a national letter of intent to play golf with the Governors.

APSU Governors Golf finishes tied for 7th at NCAA Regional, Dustin Korte advances to NCAA Championship
Tempe, AZ – It was a bitter sweet day for Austin Peay State University men’s golf team, Saturday. The Governors failed to qualify for the NCAA Championships but senior Dustin Korte did.
Korte shot a final-round 1-under 69 for a three-day 6-under 204 to finish eight individually at the Tempe Division I Golf Regional. He earned the NCAA Championship invitation, May 28th-June 2nd at the Capital City Club/Crabapple Course in Atlanta, GA, by recording the best individual score exclusive of the five qualifying regional teams.

Austin Peay State University Mens Golf’s Dustin Korte’s 64 propels Govs to third place after Day 1 of NCAA Tempe Regional
Tempe, AZ – Playing his first NCAA tournament round, senior Dustin Korte tied an Austin Peay State University 18-hole record by shooting a 6-under 64 to propel the Governors into third place at the Tempe Regional, Thursday.

Austin Peay State University Governors Golf hits the desert for NCAA Tournament preparations
Tempe, AZ – With a change in time zones and weather, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team arrived in Arizona, Monday night, as it prepares for this week’s NCAA Golf Regional, to be played Thursday-Saturday at the ASU Karsten Golf Course.

APSU Men’s Golf Team headed to Tempe Arizona for NCAA Tournament
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s golf team will be heading west to participate in the NCAA Division I Regional.
The Governors, who were awarded a No. 12 seed after earning the Ohio Valley Conference automatic bid with their recent tourney championship, will head to Tempe, AZ, to play at the ASU Karsten Golf Course.

APSU Men’s Golf team wins rain shortened OVC Tournament
Dickson, TN - For the second time in three years Mother Nature prevented the final round of the Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship from being played. With heavy rains throughout the area overnight and into Saturday, third round play never got underway and Austin Peay was declared the 2013 champions.

Dickson, TN - Austin Peay State University men’s golf team recorded eight birdies and one eagle on the back nine, Friday afternoon, and, as a result, will take a nine-stroke lead into the final round of the Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship, being played at GreyStone Golf Club.
