Clarksville, TN – Memphis and Grainger County met Monday night, July 23rd in the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament Monday night at Clarksville National field. The game was knotted at zero in the bottom of the 2nd. That’s when Grainger went on a rally pushing eight runs across the plate.
Memphis came back and scored two of their own top of the 3rd while Grainger scored one. Memphis’ bats came to life in the 4th driving five runs in. Grainger scored another run bottom of the 5th.

Doubles play shows improvement for Govs Tennis

APSU Men’s Tennis
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis came away with strong results, especially in doubles, at the Louisville Invitational, September 17th-19th.
In main draw doubles action, two teams made it to the quarterfinals. Sean Bailey and Henrique Norbiato – the Govs No. 1 doubles team in the spring – picked up a win against Murray State’s Luka Milicevic and Renaldo Demoney. Two newcomers, Remi Calleja and Jasmin Ademovic won their opening match against Wright State’s Brian Dredge and Riyad Bennoui.
