Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – Vendor and entertainment applications are now being accepted for the City of Clarksville’s 29th annual Riverfest Celebration. The Festival will be held Thursday, September 8th through Saturday, September 10th, 2016.

Vendors and entertainers are encouraged to apply online at www.clarksvilleriverfest.com

The Festival can only accept a limited number of applicants, so submit today!

Movies in the Park - Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Movies in the Park, the city’s free, outdoor movie series, will celebrate its 11th season as it kicks off on Saturday, May 7th with the showing of Independence Day (PG-13)!

The season begins with the first two showings at Heritage Park, located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road, and followed by the next two showings at a new location – McGregor Park!

Clarksville Academy students help bring Bicycle Share Program to Clarksville

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Thanks to a group of Clarksville Academy students, a grant from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation and a partnership with the City of Clarksville, a bicycle share program will soon come to Liberty park and McGregor park.

The group, comprised of about eight Clarksville students each year, researched and wrote a grant proposal as part of Clarksville Academy’s Challenge Based Learning (CBL).

Clarksville Parks and Recreation receives Four Star Award for Heritage Park Greenway Connection

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award from the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Kingsport, Tennessee.

The award was given in recognition of the Heritage Park Greenway Connection.

Christmas on the Cumberland offers free activities and entertainment to Celebrate the Holidays

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Children of all ages are encouraged to visit Christmas on the Cumberland, presented by Agero and US Bank, for fun, family-friendly activities.

Visitors can enjoy holiday-themed crafts and performances by local choirs and dance groups on December 12th and 19th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at McGregor Park.

Christmas on the Cumberland Closed Tonight, November 28th

 

Christmas on the CumberlandClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and announced that Christmas on the Cumberland will not open this evening, Saturday, November 28th, due to weather.

Christmas on the Cumberland is expected to reopen on Sunday, November 29th at 5:00pm.

Clarksville’s Christmas on the Cumberland opens to the delight of young and old alike

 

Christmas on the CumberlandClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville held the grand opening of Christmas on the Cumberland Tuesday night, November 25th at McGregor Park. Hundreds gathered on the bank of the Cumberland River to listen singing and to see the lights come on along the riverwalk.

There was even a visit from you know who.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Channel 4's Snowbird and Santa Claus flipped the switch Tuesday night turning on the lights for Christmas on the Cumberland.
