Knoxville, TN – The #4/5 Tennessee Lady Vols (4-0) begin a stretch of three games in six days, when UAlbany (4-0) visits Thompson-Boling Arena on Friday. Tipoff is slated for noon, and the game will be broadcast online on SECN+.
Courtney Lyle (PxP) and VFL Steve Hamer (Analyst) will describe the action on the SECN+/WatchESPN online broadcast. Fans can hear the Lady Vol Network broadcast on stations across the state as well as via a live stream worldwide with Mickey Dearstone calling the action.

UT Lady Vols vs. Chattanooga Mocs

Knoxville, TN – The #4/5 Lady Vols (3-0) play their first of three games this week, as #24/RV Chattanooga (3-1) visits Thompson-Boling Arena on Monday. Tipoff is slated for 7:00pm, and the game will be broadcast online on SECN+.
The Mocs enter on the heels of a 67-63 upset victory over #4/5 UT a year ago in Chattanooga. While there was that excitement for UTC, the Mocs also saw their season end at Thompson-Boling Arena last year, falling to Pittsburgh in the NCAA First Round, 51-40.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay women’s basketball team begins a four-game road trip with the first of seven matchups against in-state opponents when it meets Chattanooga in a 5:00pm (CT), Monday contest at McKenzie Arena.
The Lady Govs will seek to build off their season’s first victory – an 84-77 win against Grand Canyon, Saturday.

Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak when it plays High Point in the consolation game of the Dr. Pepper Classic, 3:30pm (CDT), Saturday in McKenzie Arena.
High Point also is amidst a losing streak. Its 68-61 loss to Chattanooga, Friday, was its fourth straight.

Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University’s defensive struggles continued to make December a forgettable month.
Utah Valley shot 61 percent from the floor and scored on eight of its last nine possessions to pull away late to defeat the Governors, 84-77, in first-round play of the Dr. Pepper Classic, being played at McKenzie Arena.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay hopes it can open the 2011 portion of its schedule the game way it ended 2010.
In fact, the Governors closed out 2010 with a season-long three-game winning streak. Austin Peay hopes to add to that streak and open with its first 2011 win as Chattanooga comes to town for a 7:00pm, Monday contest.
APSU Women’s Basketball
Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team found itself in another early deficit and again could not dig its way out, falling 71-61 at Chattanooga, Tuesday night in non-conference action at the McKenzie Arena.
Chattanooga (1-3) made its first 10 shots – eight field goals and two free throws – en route to a 20-6 lead with 13:19 remaining. Meanwhile, Austin Peay could not maintain that pace and made just three of its 11 field goals during the same span.

APSU Men’s Basketball
Chattanooga, TN – With an impressive win at St. Louis put behind it, Austin Peay State University’s basketball team will move onto stop No. 2 on the Govs’ nine-game season-opening road tour when they face Chattanooga in a 6:00pm, Monday game in McKenzie Arena.
Despite the relatively short distance between the two Tennessee universities, this is the first time the two teams have met since the 2005-06 season–this also only the 17th overall meeting between the schools. It also is only the sixth time in Dave Loos’ 21 seasons as head coach the Governors and Mocs have hooked up. In fact, they will play again in Clarksville in early January.
