Nashville, TN – The National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the team’s exclusive regional television partner FOX Sports Tennessee, along with sister station SportSouth, today announced a new long-term television rights agreement. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the new agreement, FOX Sports Tennessee and SportSouth will televise a minimum of 75 Nashville Predators regular-season games beginning in the 2013-14 season, reaching over 4 million cable and satellite households across Tennessee, Kentucky and northern portions of Alabama and Mississippi. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville, TN – Charles Hand, chairman and CEO of Hand Family Companies and long-time supporter of Austin Peay State University‘s athletics programs, was inducted into the Red Coat Society, Saturday night during halftime ceremonies of the APSU-Eastern Illinois basketball game.
In its 10th year, the Red Coat Society serves as a Hall of Fame of service for the Governors Club, APSU’s Athletics booster club.

Clarksville, TN – Charles Hand, chairman and CEO of Hand Family Companies and long-time supporter of Austin Peay State University’s athletics programs, will be inducted into the Red Coat Society, Saturday.
The Red Coat Society, now in its 10th year, serves as a Hall of Fame of service for the Governors Club, APSU’s Athletics booster club. This year’s ceremony will take place during halftime of the Governors’ 7:30pm basketball game with Eastern Illinois.

All games scheduled to be televised for the first time in franchise history in exciting, condensed season
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators announced today that the team’s exclusive regional television partner FOX Sports Tennessee (FSTN) will televise 46 of 48 regular-season games during the 2012-2013 NHL season.

Busy week for Clarksville based Hand Family Companies
Clarksville Tn – It’s been an big week for Clarksville’s Hand Family Companies. The Clarksville based beverage company was introduced as part of the new ownership group of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, and today it was announced that their Budweiser of Memphis facility was growing.
Charles Hand announced earlier this week that his company had acquired West Tennessee Beverage Company LLC, an affiliate of Southwestern Distributing Company, and will operate the company out of his Budweiser of Memphis facility.

Clarksville TN - New Memphis Grizzlies owner, billionaire Robert Pera, introduced his ownership group at a standing room only media event at the FedEx Forum on Monday, saying he was “the luckiest man in the world right now.”
Pera, the CEO of Silicon Valley wireless networking company Ubiquiti Networks and Grizzlies CEO Jason Levien addressed the media and announced their new ownership group, which includes Clarksville based Hand Family of Companies.

Already growing up in the shadow of his older Pau Gasol, who starred for Spanish basketball powerhouse Barcelona, Marc continued to remain the forgotten Gasol when Pau was taken in the 2001 NBA Draft and shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies.
After the Gasol family made the move to Memphis to stay close to Pau, Marc continued to search for his own basketball glory.

Clarksville, TN – Wade Neely has joined WJZM radio to join the Clarksville Sports Network in 2012. Neely comes to WJZM after 21 months as the Sports Director of WKSR AM-FM in Pulaski, Tennessee. Neely was hired, after a nationwide search, to join former Leaf Chronicle sports writer, James Horne, in launching a new sports show on 1400 WJZM, “From the Sideline,” weekday afternoons, 3:00pm-6:00pm. Neely will also be a staff writer for ClarksvilleSportsNetwork.com, expected to be online in 2012.
