Knoxville, TN – Tennessee treats its midstate fans to a high-profile, regular-season clash against unbeaten and eighth-ranked Gonzaga Sunday at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. Billed as the The Battle on Broadway, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee, tip-off is slated for 3:00pm CT on ESPN2.
The Vols (6-4) journeyed west for another neutral site showdown with the Bulldogs (10-0) in Seattle last season. Gonzaga emerged with an 86-79 victory.
Tennessee is playing its fourth game in eight days — a stretch that began last Sunday when the Vols were narrowly edged by No. 7 North Carolina, 73-71, in Chapel Hill.

Knoxville, TN – Tennessee hosts in-state and I-40 foe Tennessee Tech on Tuesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena with tipoff set for 6:00pm CT on the SEC Network.
The Vols (4-4) are looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat at the hands of No. 7 North Carolina on Sunday night and grab their 14th consecutive home victory during the month of December.
Tennessee got a big showing from its leading scorer, Robert Hubbs III, in Chapel Hill. The senior scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting to boost his season average to 14.8 points per game. Hubbs is joined in double figures by redshirt freshman Lamonte Turner at 10.3 ppg.

Austin, TX – Tennessee (4-3) will play its final non-conference road game on Sunday, as the Lady Vols take on #17 Texas (2-4) at 3:30pm CT (4:30pm ET).

Jacksonville, AL – The Austin Peay State University football accomplished a pair of season first against No. 3 Jacksonville State after becoming the first FCS team to rush for over 100 yards and limiting the Gamecocks to under 100 yards through the air in a 34-14 loss Saturday afternoon in Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) begin the 2016 preseason this week against the San Diego Chargers (0-0). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Saturday, August 13th. The contest is a preview of the two teams’ November 6th regular season meeting in San Diego.
The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN News 2 in Nashville.
Nashville, TN – On the field, Titans fans will get their first glimpse of the team as constructed by new general manager Jon Robinson and Mike Mularkey, each of whom were named to their posts in January by controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk.
Although he is a native of Union City, TN, Robinson is a newcomer to the organization. Mularkey was hired as tight ends coach in 2014, promoted to assistant head coach/tight ends coach during the 2015 offseason, and then spent the final nine games of 2015 as interim head coach.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans traded with the Cleveland Browns up to the No. 8th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to take Michigan State Offensive Tackle Jack Conklin. The Titans traded the No. 15 overall pick, a 3rd round pick and a 2nd round pick in 2017 to the Browns.
The 6’6″, 308 pound Conklin ran a 5.0 second 40 yard dash in the NFL Combine. He has a scrappy player with good core strength, power in his hands and locks up defenders making it hard for them to get around him.
#7 Seed Tennessee Lady Vols (21-13) vs. #3 Seed Ohio State Buckeyes (26-7)

Knoxville, TN – The No. 7 seed Lady Vols (21-13) will take on No. 3 seed Ohio State (26-7) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday at 8:30pm CT/ 9:30pm ET on ESPN2.
The winner will advance to Sunday’s Sioux Falls Regional final and will play the winner of the other semifinal game featuring No. 1 seed and #3/2-ranked South Carolina (33-1) vs. No. 4 seed and #14/15-ranked Syracuse (27-7).
Tennessee advanced to the semifinal round on Sunday night by upsetting No. 2 seed and #11/11 Arizona State, 75-64, in the second round on the Sun Devils’ home court in Tempe. UT had beaten No. 10 seed Green Bay in the first round last Friday, 59-53.
Clarksville, TN – After making a history-making run through the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament last week, Austin Peay State University’s men’s basketball team will have to face a history making challenge once again in the NCAA Tournament.
The Governors (18-17) were the first eighth-seed to win the OVC Tournament championship, winning four games in four days, but now a bigger undertaking awaits them as a 16-seed and having to go up against the NCAA Tournament’s overall number-one seed Kansas (30-4).
