Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is going to start consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions. Clarksville Police had 751 DUI arrests for 2012.
Police made 10 DUI arrests from February 15th thru February 17th, 2013.
Clarksville, TN – On February 2nd, 2013, around 2:00am, Clarksville Police Officer Arthur Bing, 28 was traveling south on Fort Campbell Boulevard in a 2008 Crown Victoria responding to a business alarm activation.
A 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Jessica Sheppard, 20, who had learners permit, was traveling north on Fort Campbell Boulevard and turned in front of the patrol car.
Clarksville Police Officer working a DUI Special Patrol Car is Rear Ended at a Red Light by a Drunk Driver
Clarksville, TN – On April 22nd, 2012, around 3:00am, Officer Tom Johnson, 56 was working as part of a DUI saturation patrol when his patrol car was rear-ended by a drunk driver.
Officer Tom Johnson was in his 2009 Chevrolet Impala stopped for a red light in the left southbound lane of Fort Campbell Boulevard at Ringgold Road.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Indoor Aquatic Center, 166 Cunningham Lane was targeted and damaged twice over a two day period. Police took two separate reports in reference to vandalism and burglary to the Aquatic Center which took place between January 4th and 6th.
On January 4th/5th, it appears as though entry was not actually made inside of the center but the damage was done primarily to the exterior dome.
Clarksville, TN – Once again, repeat offenders are headed back to jail. Bernard Thomas Nelson was released from Montgomery County Jail December 6th, 2011. David Wayne Wylie was released from Tennessee Department of Corrections October 31st, 2011.
On December 8th, 2011, around 4:30am, Nelson and Wylie were captured on surveillance footage committing a commercial burglary at a towing company in the 1200 block of College Street. There was a wooden block thrown through a window by one of the suspects and then a door was opened to allow the other suspect to enter.
Clarksville, TN – On May 25th, around 5:40pm, a FEMA supervisor, Stewart Edward White, 78, was involved in a single vehicle injury crash on Dover Road near Paula Drive. He was traveling east on Dover Road in a 2010 Toyota Corolla, crossed into the westbound lanes, hit a telephone pole, and then the vehicle rolled.
Clarksville, TN – On 4-28-11 around 9:00am, one car set off a chain of events which resulted in a five vehicle crash. A bus in the southbound lane of Kraft Street was stopped waiting to make a left turn onto 8th Street.
A Dodge Charger was stopped behind the bus and a Nissan Frontier was preparing to stop behind the Dodge. A Hyundai, driven by Jason Meeks, was traveling southbound on Kraft Street and collided with the rear end of the Nissan pushing it forward into the Dodge.
Clarksville, TN – On April 10th, around 7:00pm, the Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T) responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of 3425 Pembroke Road. Carlos M. Bourne, 33 was traveling on Pembroke Road out of Kentucky into Clarksville when he lost control of his Chevy Tahoe, left the roadway, crossed two driveways, hit a culvert, went airborne, and collided with a tree in the yard at 3418 Pembroke Road.
Clarksville, TN – Around 2:02am, this morning, Coleman Ryan Collins, 21, of Palmyra was found, by passing motorists on the southbound side of Fort Campbell Blvd and Lady Marion.
It appears as though Collins was riding his moped southbound on Fort Campbell Blvd when another vehicle hit the moped from the rear; the other vehicle left the scene after the crash. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville, TN – Around 2:26pm, a 23 year old man riding a bicycle was struck by a hit and run driver in the area of 1150 Madison Street.
Richard Timothy Smith, 23, of Cumberland Furnace was hit on Madison Street, by a white full sized extended cab pickup, driven by an unknown driver.
