Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators got off to a fast start, then hung on for the win, defeating the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2 at Bridgestone Arena, Monday night.
Nick Spalling, Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque got Nashville out front 3-0, and the Predators never looked back, as Marek Mazanec continued his solid play in goal, turning away 29 shots on goal.
The Coyotes have now lost three in a row.

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators visit Canada’s largest city for just the 10th time ever, and for the first time since November 16th, 2010. It is also just the sixth overall meeting between the Predators and Leafs since the 2008-09 season. The Predators hold a 7-6-(1)-0 all-time record against the Leafs, including a 4-4-1 mark at Air Canada Centre.
These teams last met in the Music City on October 10th, as the Maple Leafs rode Phil Kessel (1g-2a) and Jonathan Bernier to a 4-0 shutout win.

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators hope to carry their momentum from the 7-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday, to Detroit, when they visit the Red Wings Tuesday night at Joe Louis Arena.
On Saturday night, Nashville won a game by five or more goals for the first time since March 8th, 2013 (vs. Edmonton, 6-0), after defeating the Chicago Blackhawks, 7-2. After a four-game stretch that saw Nashville outscored 17-2, the Predators responded in front of the sold out Bridgestone Arena with offensive ferocity.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators broke-out of their slump in a big way, as they returned to Bridgestone Arena to face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, and beat Chicago 7-2.
Craig Smith led the way for the Predators with a goal and two assists, as Nashville broke out of their scoring slump, and got great goaltending from Marek Mazanek who stopped 33-35 shots on goal.
Nashville Predators at Colorado Avalanche

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators met the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center ice just a month ago on October 4th, as the Avs downed the Preds, 3-1.
Colorado took an early 2-0 lead on goals from P.A. Parenteau and Patrick Bordeleau, but the Preds cut the margin in half when Paul Gaustad tallied at 14:10 of the second period. The Preds kept the pressure on late in the game, but Parenteau’s empty-netter with 1:12 remaining secured the victory for the Avs.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues face-off on Bridgestone Arena ice on Saturday night for the first time in 2013-14. These two teams will meet three times in the Music City, but won’t meet up again in Nashville until March 6th, 2014.
The Predators have posted a 22-12-9 mark all-time against the Blues on home ice, but have lost three straight going back to February 23rd, 2012 (1-0-2). Two of Nashville’s home losses during that span came via the shootout, a common theme in the series – the teams have needed the post-overtime tiebreaker to determine a winner 13 times, with Nashville posting an 8-5 record.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators fought toe-to-toe with the Winnipeg Jets at Bridgestone Arena tonight, winning in overtime 3-2, as Craig Smith scored the game winner with just 17 seconds left in the extra frame.
Nashville led 2-1 until Winnipeg’s Blake Wheeler tied the game with 3:01 remaining in regulation, as Wheeler took a Carter Hutton rebound and parked it into an open net.
Nashville, TN - The Predatorss and Jets face-off Thursday night for the first of two meetings in the Music City this season. The Predators have earned at least a point in nine of 10 games against the team formerly known as the Thrashers since 2005-06, going 7-1-2 in that span. Overall, Nashville is 6-2-0 against the Jets/Thrashers on home ice since the 1999-00 season, and have won three straight at Bridgestone Arena dating back to Jan. 30th, 2010.
Justin Fontaine scored with just over one minute to play in the second period, with what would be the eventual game winner. Minnesota goaltender Josh Harding stopped all 16 shots by the Predators, as Nashville’s scoring problems continue.
Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators rookie Seth Jones scored the game winner as the Predators defeated Montreal on the road, 2-1. Jones took a pass from veteran David Legwand and slipped past the Montreal defense, and flipped the game winner past goalie Carey Price at 18:33 for the victory.
The win was the first for Nashville in three attempts. The Nashville victory ended a a four game win streak for the Canadiens.
