Nashville, TN – The Titans own the 10th overall selection and nine total picks in the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft, which begins April 25th.
Over the course of three days, the NFL will conduct the seven-round draft from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, while Titans personnel will be headquartered at Baptist Sports Park in Nashville, TN.
This year’s Titans draft is the second overseen by executive vice president/general manager Ruston Webster, who was promoted in January 2012 from vice president of player personnel.
San Diego, CA – Antonio Gates may have been sidelined with sore ribs, but that did not slow the San Diego Chargers Sunday. Dante Rosario stepped in and had a career day fueling the Chargers to a 38-10 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Rosario scored twice in the first quarter. The first on a 11 yard pass from Philip Rivers and the second on a 4 yard pass. This put the Chargers up 14-0 over the Titans. Rosario ended the day catching four passes for 48 yards and three touchdowns. «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans released veteran defensive tackle Shaun Smith on Wednesday.
Smith signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Titans in 2011, appearing in 15 games with six starts and registering 44 tackles, one sack and two quarterback pressures.
Prior to arriving in Tennessee, Smith spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2010), Cincinnati Bengals (2009, 2004-2006), Cleveland Browns (2007-2008), New Orleans Saints (2004) and Dallas Cowboys (2003). «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville, TN – The Titans are scheduled to begin training camp this week at Baptist Sports Park in Nashville. Rookies and quarterbacks reported on Tuesday, July 24th, and they will be joined by the remaining veterans on Friday, July 27th.
Fans of the Titans can get their first glimpse of the 2012 squad on Sunday, July 29th, the first of 13 total training camp practices that will be free for the public to attend. Nashville, TN – The Titans reached agreement on a contract with third-round pick DT Mike Martin.
Mike Martin was a three-year starter at Michigan, where he played in 49 games, registered 172 tackles and 10 sacks during his college career. Last season, he started all 13 games and totaled six sacks and 64 tackles.
The Titans now have agreed to terms with two of their seven draft picks this year. Coty Sensabaugh signed a contract earlier this week.

Martin, a modern day Renaissance man known as a grinder on the football field, totaled 172 tackles, 10 sacks and 25 tackles for loss in 37 collegiate starts. Nashville, TN – In the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans pickup Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Mike Martin with the 19th pick (82nd overall pick).
Martin was the 2011 season captain for Michigan and also a four year letterman. He had 64 tackles and 3.5 sacks his senior year. Martin’s strength is his strong suit.
