Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans open the 2015 regular season at Tampa Bay on September 13th and they will open the home schedule on September 27th against the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans also will appear in a Thursday night primetime contest at the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 19th.
“The release of the schedule for the upcoming season is always an exciting time for a coach, the players and an organization. It seems like on a yearly basis the schedule has sections that provide challenges and opportunities,” said Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt. “Opening on the road for the first two weeks jumps out at first look and certainly creates a sense of urgency to open the season.”
Nashville, TN – The National Football League announced the 2015 preseason schedule this afternoon and the Tennessee Titans will be hosting the St. Louis Rams in a nationally televised game for FOX on Sunday, August 23rd at 7:00pm (central).
The Titans open their preseason slate on the road with a trip to Atlanta to face the Falcons (weekend of August 13th-16th) and will travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs in week three (weekend of August 27th-30th).

This week’s game will be televised regionally on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF News-Channel 5. Kevin Harlan will handle play-by-play duties, and Rich Gannon will serve as analyst.
Nashville, TN – On Thursday, August 29th, the Minnesota Vikings (4-0-0) beat the Tennessee Titans (2-2-0) 19-3 on a rainy night at LP Field. Both teams kept their starters on the bench.
The Vikings took the opening drive 80 yards for a touchdown. Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, in his first NFL start, connected with wide receiver Adam Thielen for the 3 yard score.
Four field goals by kicker Blair Walsh put the Vikings up 19-0.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-Channel 2 in Nashville.
Nashville, TN – On Tuesday, August 26th, the Tennessee Titans trimmed it’s roster down to the NFL-mandated number of 75.
LB David Hinds, WR Isaiah Williams and OL Gabe Ikard (injured) were waived.
The Titans placed LB Colin McCarthy on injured reserve.
Atlanta, GA – With 5:45 left in the fourth quarter, Bishop Sankey scored on a 3 yard run off right guard to give the Tennessee Titans (2-1-0) their first lead of the game over the Atlanta Falcons (1-2-0). Sankey stretched out and over the goal converting the 2 point conversion, giving the Titans a 24-17 win at the Georgia Dome.
The Falcons took their next possession down to the Titans’ 4 yard line where Tennessee’s defense stiffened. On 4th and 2, Sean Refree’s pass to Julian Jones up the middle fell incomplete, turning the ball over on downs with 1:08 remaining. The Titans ran out the clock to secure the victory.

Nashville, TN – With 1:38 left in the game, the Tennessee Titans were down 24-23 to the Minnesota Vikings. The Titans had the ball at the Tennessee 20 yard line. Tennessee quarterback Rusty Smith quickly completes passes to Jalen Parmele for 5 yards and Jake Doyle for 17 yards moving the ball to the Tennessee 42.
In the shotgun, Smith gets a bad snap from center Brian Schwenke which he is unable to handle and Collins Ukwu recovers the ball with 0:47 left for Minnesota. Vikings quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson takes two knees to end the game.
