Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators met the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center ice just a month ago on October 4th, as the Avs downed the Preds, 3-1.
Colorado took an early 2-0 lead on goals from P.A. Parenteau and Patrick Bordeleau, but the Preds cut the margin in half when Paul Gaustad tallied at 14:10 of the second period. The Preds kept the pressure on late in the game, but Parenteau’s empty-netter with 1:12 remaining secured the victory for the Avs.
Justin Fontaine scored with just over one minute to play in the second period, with what would be the eventual game winner. Minnesota goaltender Josh Harding stopped all 16 shots by the Predators, as Nashville’s scoring problems continue.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators are riding some serious momentum as they visit the Twin Cities for the first time this season, for a Tuesday night match-up with the Wild. The Predators are 7-1-2 against Minnesota dating back to December 31st, 2010, and have won three of the last five meetings between the two teams.
Nashville is coming off a 3-1 win at Winnipeg on Sunday night, completing a 2-0 sweep of the weekend with their win at Montreal on Saturday.

Nashville, TN – Nashville holds a 10-3-2 edge all-time in the series against the Islanders, and has garnered points in all nine games since the start of the 2002-03 campaign, posting a 7-0-2 record. The Predators are 6-2-0 all-time against the Islanders at Bridgestone Arena.
These teams last met in a matinee tilt on January 16th, 2012, as Nashville scored on its first two shots of the game before David Legwand closed out a three-goal first period for Nashville. Pekka Rinne made 36 saves, but was denied a shutout when John Tavares scored with 3:58 remaining.

The rink development is a component of a public-private partnership between the Nashville Predators and Metro that will help continue growth of hockey in Middle Tennessee.

Nashville Predators vs. Minnesota Wild

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators and the Minnesota Wild last met at Bridgestone Arena on March 9th, 2013, in their final matchup of the 2012-13 campaign. Zach Parise opened the scoring for the Wild with a power-play goal nine minutes into the middle frame, before David Legwand tallied a power-play goal to even the score at the 6:28 mark of the third.
The score remained tied through regulation and overtime, before current Predator Matt Cullen beat Pekka Rinne in the post-overtime tiebreaker to take home the 2-1 win. Dating back to December 31st, 2010, the Predators are 7-1-2 against the Wild, and have won five of the last six on home ice against Minnesota dating back to March 18th, 2010.
Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned forward Simon Moser to Milwaukee (AHL), finalizing the team’s roster for the 2013-14 season opener at St. Louis on Thursday night.

Forward Viktor Stalberg was also placed on injured reserve, leaving Nashville’s active roster at 23 players.
