Montgomery Central Little League kicked off the 2014 Season Saturday

 

Montgomery Central Little LeagueCunningham, TN – On Saturday, April 12th, 2014, the Montgomery County Little League District 9 held their opening day ceremony at the ball fields behind Montgomery Central Elementary School. The sun was out. It was not too cold or hot. Just a perfect day for the event.

There was several things to do. For the kids, there were inflatables provided by U Jumpin’ Foulks. There was a cake walk and basket auction in the gym.

The Basket Auction bids started at 12:00noon and ended at 3:00pm.

Manna Café to hold Mobile Pantry at Montgomery Central Elementary School

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries will conduct a Mobile Pantry on Saturday, March 15th beginning at 10:00am at Montgomery Central Elementary School, 4011 Highway 48.

Montgomery Central Little LeagueCunningham, TN – On Saturday, February 22nd, Montgomery Central Little League will be holding registration for the 2014 season. Kids ages 4-12 years old can be registered for Baseball and Girls Softball.

Registration will be from 9:00am until 2:00pm at the Montgomery Central Little League building located behind Montgomery Central Elementary School.

Thousands of Clarksville Montgomery County students to help their own hearts – and the hearts of others

Rivers and Spires Festival wraps up today with Activities, Music Galore

 

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival concludes today in Historic Downtown Clarksville. The event gets started at 10:00am with food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities. The Children’s Parade with start at 1:00pm.

There will be acts and music going on five separate stages all day and into the night. And one of the best things about Rivers and Spires, is that it’s free and open to the public.

Fire at Montgomery County EMS Station 23

 

Clarksville, TN – Wednesday morning, around 9:45am at the EMS Station 23 across the street from the Hilltop Market at 385 Highway 149, a member of the on duty EMS crew smelled smoke, and when checking for the source found the garage where their ambulance was parked engulfed in flames.

As one of the crew responded to the fire, the other called for support from area Fire Departments; units from Clarksville Fire Rescue, Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department, East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department, and the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department responded to help fight the flames which were under control within 20 minutes of the initial call being placed.

An ambulance was the source of the flames that destroyed EMS Station 23 on Highway 149 in South Montgomery County earlier today
