Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.

Keynote speaker is Army retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 John Clement, who currently serves as the Field Representative for Congressman Marsha Blackburn representing the 7th Congressional district of Tennessee.

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On August 2nd, 2017, the Two Rivers Company relocated their scheduled board meeting to participate in a presentation by Dan Seftner, President and CEO of Destination Rapid City in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Seftner described the six-year transformation of Rapid City’s downtown square and shared his belief that the success experienced in Rapid City and other cities he has worked with will be duplicated in Downtown Clarksville.

2016 Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade

 

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County gathered together in front of the Montgomery County Historic Courthouse this past Saturday, November 5th to honor our veterans, as well as those who are still serving their country.

The day started off at 9:00am with a Veterans Day Ceremony. Veterans Service Organization director Frank Mir gave the opening remarks followed by the 101st Airborne Division Honor Guard Posting the Colors.

Montgomery County announces Billy Ray Cyrus to Ride in Veterans Day Parade

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to announce that country singer Billy Ray Cyrus will be riding in the Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 5th, as a guest of Appleton’s Harley Davidson.

Cyrus, along with a special guest of his, will be riding with a group of motorcyclists in the parade to support Operation Home Front.

Fort Campbell Soldier, Volunteer Firefighter receives commendation for saving a child

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Congratulations to Woodlawn Volunteer Firefighter and Staff Sergeant James Munns for receiving a letter of commendation from the City of San Antonio Fire Department for his heroic efforts on August 11th while he was in Texas for military schooling.

According to the letter from San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood, “Munns took quick, skilled actions in treating a toddler for symptoms of potential heat exhaustion from being left alone in a hot car for an extended amount of time.”
