Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team kicks off the 2012-13 indoor season, Saturday, at the Middle Tennessee Christmas Invitational, hosted by MTSU.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30am at the Murphy Center.

Murfreesboro, TN – Scoring droughts on either side of halftime doomed Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team in a 70-56 loss to Middle Tennessee, Tuesday, at the Murphy Center.

Clarksville High School falls to Memphis Central in Class AAA Boys Basketball Semifinals

Murfreesboro, TN – It certainly didn’t come from a lack of trying and certainly Daijon Williams did all he could, but in the end Clarksville High fell to Memphis Central 68-62 in a Class AAA semifinal game in Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center.
 The Clarksville High School Wildcats finished their season with a good fight, but loss to Memphis Central 68-62.

Murfreesboro, TN – All that matters at the end of the game is that you have more points than the other team, there’s no value for how aesthetic a victory is.
And that was the case for Clarksville High School in its 53-47 victory over Cherokee High School in a quarterfinal game of the Boys Class AAA State Tournament in the Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee State University. The Wildcats got the win, but it wasn’t pretty.

Clarksville High School Boys Basketball to meet Cherokee in State Tournament
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville High School boys basketball team will face Cherokee High, Wednesday at 5:00pm, in the quarter-finals of the state high school basketball tournament.

For the past four years, Clarksville High Girls Basketbal”s only goal was to win the Class AAA State Basketball Championship and it was special dream for the Lady Wildcats’ five starters who are all moving on to play Division I basketball next year with Bashaara Graves going to Tennessee, Tiasha Gray to Austin Peay, Chandler Cooper to Florida, Tia Nicholson to Tennessee Tech and Jessy Ward to Mississippi State.

The Final Horne: Graves’ 28-point, 22-rebound performance shows why Clarksville High School’s Lady Wildcat should win Class AAA Miss Basketball award
Murfreesboro, TN – It was a performance of sheer will, desire drawn from the unmitigated gall of not wanting to let it happen again.
That all combined into Bashaara Graves’ and the 28 points and 22 rebounds, including a record-tying 14 defensive rebounds, she overpoweringly produced in Clarksville High’s 64-48 victory over defending champion Memphis Central in their Class AAA State Tournament quarterfinal game Thursday in the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
Graves’ 14 defensive rebounds tied the mark Jackson County High School’s Andrea Davidson’s record set in 2002 against McMinn Central High School.

Murfreesboro, TN – Clarksville High School Girl’s Basketball takes on Science Hill in a Class AAA State Basketball Tournament semifinal game at 2:30pm in Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center.
Both teams come into today’s game with identical 37-0 records.
The Lady Wildcats, are seeking their first state championship and beat Memphis Central (24-8), the defending state champion, 64-48 Thursday, a team that beat Clarksville High in the quarterfinals two years ago.
