Clarksville Fishermen Win APSU Governors Bass Tournament

Paris Landing, TN - The team of Larry Ethridge and Steve Richerson, of Clarksville, were declared the winners of the 19th Annual Governors Bass Tournament, held Saturday, at Kentucky Lake, with launching occurring from Paris Landing State Park.
A total of 282 boats were registered for $13,000 in prize money.

APSU Softball has game times pushed back at Murray State
Clarksville, TN – With rain falling in the Murray, KY area since late afternoon Friday, the scheduled start of Saturday’s softball doubleheader between Austin Peay State University and Murray State University has been pushed back to a 3:00pm start at Central Park – just off the Murray State main campus.

Clarksville resident Russ Shemberger places in top 10 at Murray Half-Marathon
Clarksville, TN – Russ Shemberger, a licensed massage therapist at Restore Performance Massage on Madison Street in Clarksville, finished sixth overall in the Murray Half-Marathon on Saturday, April 13th in Murray, Kentucky.
Shemberger finished the 13.1-mile course in 1:37:08 and won his age group (male 45-49).
Shemberger is a veteran triathlete.

APSU Lady Govs Tennis loses at Murray State
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Tennis
Murray, KY – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team saw its two-match winning streak snapped when they ran up against a dangerous Murray State squad at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts, Tuesday.
The Racers dispatched the Lady Govs, 7-0, to drop Austin Peay below .500 in conference play.

Murray, KY – A dominant performance against rival Murray State pushed Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team’s win streak to 11 matches, Tuesday.
The Governors were rarely challenged en route to a 7-0 victory at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts.
