APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityMurray, KY – After two overtime matches last weekend, the Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team dropped a close match with Murray State, Thursday, in the Heritage Bank Battle of the Border.

The Governors defense was busy most of the afternoon, fending off five corners and 23 shots in the Govs final road match of the season.

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Fighting through the rain and mud, the Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team twice came back from a one-goal deficit collecting a draw against UT Martin, Sunday.

The match was moved up due to weather conditions, but that didn’t stop the rain from hounding players during the opening 45 minutes.

APSU Women's VolleyballMurray, KY – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team got out to a hot start and could not be cooled off in a three-set Ohio Valley Conference sweep (25-21, 25-11, 25-11) of Murray State, Tuesday night, at Racer Arena.

It was the 11th consecutive win by Austin Peay (17-2, 5-0 OVC), one shy of the program record.

APSU Football manhandles Murray State Racers, 27-7

APSU FootballMurray, KY – In one of the most dominant defensive performance in Austin Peay State University football history, the Governors held rival Murray State to just 88 offensive yards en route to a 27-7 victory on Saturday afternoon at Roy Stewart Stadium.

The win was the first in Murray since 2007 and propelled the Govs to 1-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference for the first time since 2011.

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University football team, coming off an emotional victory last week, will set their sights on Ohio Valley Conference play when they head north to take on rival Murray State 6:00pm, Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray, Kentucky in the first contest of the 2017 Heritage Bank Battle of the Border.

Six different rushers found the end zone for the Govs last week. JaVaughn Craig, Jeremiah Oatsvall, Kyran Moore, Ahmaad Tanner, Tre Nation and Prince Momodu each found pay dirt in Week Three.

The Governors will face the Racers in a 6:00pm, Saturday contest – the first contest in the 2017 Heritage Bank Battle of the Border – at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray, Kentucky.

APSU Men’s Golf moves into top five at MSU Invitational

APSU Men's GolfMurray, KY – Another low round moved Austin Peay State University men’s golf one spot up the leaderboard and into the top-five at the 2017 MSU Invitational, Tuesday, at Miller Memorial Golf Course.

In fact, the Governors final-round 283 was Tuesday’s lowest team score, two shots clear of Murray State and Morehead State.

Chase Korte (70-70) and Garrett Whitfield (69-72) sit in eighth and ninth, respectively, after 36 holes.

Fort Campbell, KY – Active-duty Soldiers have more than 150 different career paths to choose from when they join the Army, and although everyone’s time in service will differ from one, there is one thing Soldiers have in common.

“Every single one of us in the military is going to take off the uniform one day,” said Lt. Col. Kenrick Smith, the deputy commander of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, from Las Vegas, Nevada.
