APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – In the final game of the 2017 regular season, the Austin Peay State University football team will take on Ohio Valley Conference for Eastern Illinois 4:00pm, Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at Fortera Stadium in Clarksville.

The Governors return home for the first time in almost a month after picking up back-to-back road wins at Tennessee Tech and Eastern Kentucky.

Eastern Illinois pulls upset versus SIU Edwardsville in OVC Volleyball Quarterfinals

 

2017 OVC Volleyball ChampionshipClarksville, TN – It’s not a tournament if you don’t have at least one upset in it and Eastern Illinois did just that in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament, November 16th at the Dunn Center, as the Panthers defeated the Southern Illinois Edwardsville 3-1 (25-27, 25-20, 25-19, 25-19).

The seventh-seeded Panthers (15-14) only took one set off the second-seeded Cougars (23-6) during their two regular-season meetings, but could have beaten SIUE in three straight sets if not for a cold stretch at the end of the first set.

Murray State overcomes slow start to advance to OVC Volleyball Tournament semifinals

 

2017 OVC Volleyball ChampionshipClarksville, TN – Murray State dropped its opening game to Jacksonville State, November 16th at the Dunn Center, in the quarterfinal round of the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball championship tournament before rallying for a 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-17) victory to advance to the tournament’s semifinals.

The third-seeded Racers (21-8) jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead, powered by back-to-back two kills from Rachel Giustino, before sixth-seeded Jacksonville State (23-13) got on the board with a kill from Allyson Zuhlke.

APSU to host 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship

 

Ohio Valley Conference - OVCBrentwood, TN – The 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship field is set. Austin Peay State University earned the No. 1 seed and the right to host the three-day event at APSU’s Dunn Center.

SIU Edwardsville is the No. 2 seed followed by Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, Belmont, Jacksonville State, Eastern Illinois, Southeast Missouri.

The entire tournament will be streamed on the OVC Digital Network.

APSU Volleyball clinches share of OVC Title with three set win over Southeast Missouri

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – In the 25th anniversary season of its first Ohio Valley Conference regular season title, Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team clinched a share of the 2017 crown with a three-set sweep (25-13, 25-10, 25-23) of Southeast Missouri, Saturday, at the Winfield Dunn Center.

Austin Peay (26-14, 13-1 OVC) also clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming OVC Volleyball Championship which will be held at Austin Peay, November 16th-18th, in the Dunn Center. Full tournament details will be made available once the entire field is set.
