Dunbar Cave’s Spring Fling: Celebrating nature, wildlife and outdoor exploration

The annual Spring Fling, a celebration of nature, wildlife and outdoor exploration, will be held at Dunbar Cave State Natural Area on Saturday, May 9th, rain or shine. All activities begin at the visitor center and are free of charge. The start times of some programs may overlap, and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Donations accepted. Audubon program explores relationship between bird movement and global warming

Dr. Greg Butcher, Director of Bird Conservation at the National Audubon Society, will address the relationship between bird movement and global warming during a special program Thursday evening at the APSU Sunquist Science Complex, Room E103A, at 7:30  p.m.

Dr. Butcher’s program, “Bird Movement Reveals Global Warming Threat In Action,” is sponsored by the Warioto Audubon Chapter and the APSU Center for Excellence in Field Biology. The event is free and refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event. «Read the rest of this article»

National Audubon SocietyThe local Clarksville Warioto Audubon Society is sponsoring a presentation Wild Alaska and Its Importance to Birds and Other Wildlife by Taldi Walter of the National Audubon Society, Washington DC Policy Office

Thursday, February 1, 2007 7:30 pm at the APSU Sundquist Science Center, Room E106. Everyone is invited. Refreshments will be served after the program.
