Again Deroy doesn’t give all the ‘facts’

By Blayne Clements | July 16, 2006 | Print This Post

Deroy MurdockFor the second week in a row, Deroy Murdock’s spin, otherwise known as a republican talking points, has been published in the local paper with absolutely no opposing view given. In the old days, I just had Cal Thomas to complain about, but at least Molly Ivins was published to counter balance the neo-con Op-ed. But now each week, we, the readers, are blessed with the great unoriginal insight of Deroy Murdock.

Deroy is out to convince us that over 500 ‘lethal’ WMD’s have been found. These lethal, dangerous weapons were built in 1989, and have been buried for over a decade. Campaign for an oil-free futureTomorrow is the big day: thousands of MoveOn members from Nashville, Tennessee to Phoenix, Arizona will come together at more than 300 rallies across the country to demand an “oil-free” future.

Tomorrow’s National Day of Action is really important because this weekend is the 4th of July holiday and gas prices are on everyone’s minds. We need to seize this moment to make sure the media and the public know that the Republican addiction to oil money is keeping gas prices high and holding America back from the clean energy future that we desperately need.

Can you join us at a rally in Clarksville? «Read the rest of this article»

By Bill Larson | June 12, 2006 | Print This Post

ConstitutionThe constitution states that the Congress writes the laws; the Executive branch approves them, and then enforces them; the Judicial branch interprets the meaning of what they say. Another duty of the judicial branch of our government is to ensure that the laws which are written and passed by Congress then approved by the President are constitutional. «Read the rest of this article»
