Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker out for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – At a press conference Monday afternoon, September 30th, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak said that quarterback Jake Locker was home resting after spending the night in the hospital. Locker’s hip was injured during the Titans 38-13 win over the New York Jets Sunday.

Munchak stated that Locker’s hip was swollen and his right knee sprained. Locker has been ruled out of this Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Ryan Fitzpatrick will lead Tennessee this weekend.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans beat the New York Jets Sunday afternoon at LP Field 38-13. The win is overshadowed by the injury to quarterback Jake Locker.

Early in the third quarter of Sunday’s 38-13 win over the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker went down after getting hit by Jet’s defensive linemen Muhammad Wilkerson and then by defensive end Quinton Coples.

Tennessee Titans defeat New York Jets 38-13; Jake Locker leaves game with hip injury

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans beat the New York Jets Sunday afternoon at LP Field 38-13. The win is overshadowed by the injury to quarterback Jake Locker.

Early in the third quarter, Locker goes back to pass and just gets the ball off before getting hit by Jet’s defensive linemen Muhammad Wilkerson, then gets hit by defensive end Quinton Coples. Lockers goes to the ground grabbing his right hip with 11:14 left in the third quarter. He gave the fans a thumbs up as he was carted off the field.

Tennessee’s Jake Locker leads Titans on game winning drive to beat San Diego Chargers 20-17

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – With 2:05 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Tennessee Titans found themselves behind 17-13 with the ball at their own 6 yard line. Titans quarterback Jake Locker takes Tennessee down to the San Diego 34 yard line with 21 seconds remaining.

Locker then throws a 34 yard touchdown pass to rookie Justin Hunter to beat the Chargers 20-17. This was Hunters first NFL reception, first touchdown and it was the game winner. The second-round pick from the University of Tennessee became the first NFL rookie since the Jacksonville Jaguar’s Ernest Wilford on September 12th, 2004 to score a game-winning touchdown with 15 seconds or less remaining in the game on his first career reception.

Tennessee Titans Roster will have several new faces in 2013

In late February, the Titans signed former Buffalo Bills safety George Wilson. In mid-March, Webster moved quickly once the unrestricted free agent signing period was underway, inking guard Andy Levitre (Buffalo), running back Shonn Greene (New York Jets), tight end Delanie Walker (San Francisco 49ers), linebacker Moise Fokou (Indianapolis Colts) and defensive tackle Sammie Hill (Detroit Lions) within 24 hours.
