Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans has selected Clemson Tigers outside linebacker (OLB) Kevin Dodd in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft with the 33rd Overall pick.
At 6’5″, the 277 pound Dodd ran a 4.86 second 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine. He has a 30 1/2″ vertical leap and a 9’2″ broad jump.
At Clemson, Dodd had 12 sacks, 23.5 tackles and 62 tackles for a loss last season. He ended with a season streak of five consecutive games with a sack.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans traded with the Cleveland Browns up to the No. 8th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to take Michigan State Offensive Tackle Jack Conklin. The Titans traded the No. 15 overall pick, a 3rd round pick and a 2nd round pick in 2017 to the Browns.
The 6’6″, 308 pound Conklin ran a 5.0 second 40 yard dash in the NFL Combine. He has a scrappy player with good core strength, power in his hands and locks up defenders making it hard for them to get around him.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms on a trade that would see Tennessee trade the number one overall pick, along with their fourth round (113 overall) and sixth round (177 overall) picks this year to the Rams, in exchange for the Rams first round pick (15), two second round (43 and 45) selections and third round (76) pick in 2016; along with the Rams first round pick and third round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The Titans now own nine selections in the 2016 Draft, including six of the top 76 picks in the draft.
Nashville, TN – Ben Jones (6-3, 308) joins the Tennessee Titans after four seasons and 64 games (43 starts) with the Houston Texans. During his four seasons in the NFL, he registered 16 starts at center, 16 starts at left guard and 11 starts at right guard.
Over the last two years, Houston ranked seventh in sacks allowed (62) and ninth in rushing yards (3,892).
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles that will send running back DeMarco Murray to Nashville, TN. The teams will swap fourth-round picks in this year’s NFL Draft, with the Titans moving from the second pick to the 15th pick in the round.
A five-year veteran of the league and two-time Pro Bowler (2013 & 14), Murray was the NFL’s rushing champion and NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2014, when he rushed for 1,845 yards and led the Dallas Cowboys to their first playoff appearance since 2009.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with cornerback Brice McCain. McCain has been in the NFL for seven seasons.
McCain (5-9, 190) has played 100 games during his seven-year NFL career with the Houston Texans (2009-13), Pittsburgh Steelers (2014) and Miami Dolphins (2015). Last year with the Dolphins, McCain played in 14 games with 11 starts and totaled 39 tackles, eight passes defensed and one interception.
Nashville, TN – With the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected quarterback Marcus Mariota, the former Oregon quarterback and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner. Mariota later became the first quarterback in franchise history to start in Week 1 of his rookie season and recorded 12 total starts. He missed four contests due to injury.
Mariota unquestionably raised the bar for franchise rookie quarterbacks, breaking the club’s rookie records for attempts (370), yards (2,818), completions (230) and touchdowns (19).

Clarksville, TN – Marcus West elected to follow Will Healy from Chattanooga to Clarksville and takes over as Austin Peay State University co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach in 2016. Previously, West spent seven seasons with the Mocs, coaching the defensive line.
West’s time in Chattanooga coincided with Chattanooga’s rise from Southern Conference also-ran to perennial conference champion.
Jon Robinson and Mike Mularkey chosen to lead team into 2016 off season
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans enter 2016 with new leadership at the top of football operations. General manager Jon Robinson and head coach Mike Mularkey were named to their respective posts less than two weeks after the conclusion of the 2015 regular season, charged by controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk with building a consistent playoff contender.
It marked the first time since 1981 in which the franchise hired a general manager and head coach in the same off season. With the NFL Scouting Combine, free agency, the NFL Draft and the players’ off season workout program on the horizon, Robinson and Mularkey have launched their efforts in earnest.
